From Fox 23 Tulsa (fox23.com):
TULSA, Okla. — The Tulsa Police Department is searching for a suspect wanted in connection to a deadly accident in 2020.
Police say the suspect, Reyes Lopez, was traveling southbound on North Utica Avenue around 6:30 p.m. on Oct. 31st, 2020 when he struck the back of a Jeep Liberty. The Jeep was stopped at a red light at East Admiral Place and was reportedly pushed into the intersection as a result of the collision.
The Jeep Liberty was hit so hard that police say it immediately burst into flames.
Deasy Chairez, who according to police, was a passenger in the Jeep Liberty, was killed.
Police say a warrant was issued recently for Lopez for first-degree manslaughter.
Lopez, who police say listed his address near an apartment in the area of 21st and Memorial, moved out without paying rent. They believe Lopez is staying in the Tulsa area and are actively searching for him.
Police ask anyone who may have information to leave a tip with Tulsa Crime Stoppers. Tips can remain anonymous.
Call Tulsa Crime Stoppers at 918-596-COPS.
