It's been more than a decade since the disappearance and murder of Amber Lynn Smith. Now investigators are asking for your help to find her killer.
A small memorial sits at a bridge just north of McQueeney where Amber Lynn Smith was found 18 days after she went missing back in 2006.
Despite 11 years after Amber's murder, investigators believe someone has information that could help find who killed her.
Amber Lynn Smith was last seen on January 29, 2006 at a home on Aldama Street in Seguin.
18 days later, Smith's remains were found under a bridge just north of Seguin by a bridge inspector.
The Guadalupe County Sheriff's Office and the Seguin Police Department are still investigating Smith's death, and they're seeking information that could lead to her killer.
"People grow up, people do change," said Sgt. Craig Jones, with the GCSO.
Investigators believe someone has information that could help bring closure to the case.
Sgt. Jones believes they may not realize it.
“People do have changes in value sets as they grow up,” said Jones. “So we're hopeful that by asking even 11 years out that somebody would come forward with more information that they might not have shared back then."
And Jones says no detail is too small.
“I don't care how small it is if you've got it and it's a small detail it might be the drop of water that starts the waterfall for us," said Jones.
you have information you can call the sheriff's office or Seguin police department.
For those wishing to remain anonymous, you can leave a tip through Guadalupe County Crime Stoppers. The number is 877-403-TIPS.
