On a relatively unimportant technical note, thanks for placing this case in the Unsolved on TV section which is the correct section since this is a national news story. The only thing I edited was putting in our website contact form. This is a bizarre case because apparently an automated female voice saying the vehicle would explode in 15 minutes. Also a body was found which hopefully is the bomber. Although I wouldn't rule out more than one suspect. We won't know unless the body is identified and it's the bomber what the motivation was. It could be a political statement. Could just be someone- for lack of a better phrase- wanting to end their life with a bang. www.cnn.com/2020/12/25/us/nashville-explosion-witnesses/index.htmlwww.google.com/amp/s/www.mirror.co.uk/news/uk-news/breaking-explosion-city-centre-bomb-23219330.amp

I can think of only two reasons he may have perpetrated the bombing:
1) He was aiming for AT&T. This is a likely possibility as their building took a big hit from the explosion. I’m wondering if he had some ongoing dispute with them for some time.
2) He was angry at the City of Nashville. I’m wondering if this was the motive, as he was playing the song “Downtown” by Petula Clark on a loudspeaker. This may have been a middle finger to the city. This motive could be refuted though by the fact that he gave warning even to the police.
This is one of the strangest cases I have seen in a long time. It’s possible we never know why he did this.

There's also some sort of speculation Warner might have been a 5G conspiracy theorist and it was some kind of statement about that but once again neighbors described him as a "loner" who never brought up politics or conspiracy theorist so who knows. I know the whole "loner who keeps to himself" is kind of a cliche phrase but nevertheless he didn't seem to set off any alarm bells.
Also the guy could have just been depressed and him killing himself "downtown" could have been some sort of ironic statement or rather he was going downtown to kill himself because he felt he'd be ok after he was dead if that makes sense considering the positive and hopeful lyrics of the song.
It does seem like he wouldn't just pick AT&T by coincidence though and he was angry at them or wanted to make a statement about them for whatever reasons or once again perhaps he started to get paranoia about 5G conspiracies.

Also once again, even though the case is technically solved, I should mention the FBI understandably wants additional information. My feeling is this was a lone wolf attack, but it's still important to make sure there were no additional plans from Warner with any potential additional accomplices. Granted it's the New York Post quoting the Daily Mail, two technical news sources but a bit free range when it comes to rumors, but they stated Warner was rumored in fact into 5G conspiracy theories and his father who died in 2011 worked with a company who later merged with AT&T, and Warner thought he'd be "hailed as a hero" for his acts. I don't know how true any of this is- but what I agree with is 5G probably somehow ties in to all this- heck there were nutjobs trying to say Covid-19 was a result of 5G this past year. nypost.com/2020/12/28/nashville-bomber-thought-hed-be-a-hero-for-attacking-att-report/
