STAMFORD — Police have identified one of two men they are looking for in Sunday night’s stabbing death outside a Stillwater Avenue Bar.
Police say they are looking for a Guatemalan man who may be trying to get back to his home country before he is questioned in the homicide of of Isaias Sagastume-Aceituno.
Police say they are looking for Samuel Delfiro Zapata-Herrera, 29.
Police say Zapata-Herrera is believed to be undocumented and has no fixed address. Police say that he may still be in the Stamford area, but is likely trying to get back to Guatemala.
Police say Sagastume-Aceituno was found on Stillwater Avenue at 9:20 p.m. Sunday, suffering from multiple stab wounds. Firefighters and medics arrived and administered aid to Sagastume-Aceituno, but he died before he could be transported to the hospital, according to a statement from police Lt. Tom Scanlon.
Investigators have discovered that Sagastume-Aceituno and the alleged suspects were inside Reyes Restaurant, just down the hill from where he was found stabbed, police said. At one point, video shows a group of men, including Sagastume-Aceituno, move outside before he gets into a struggle with two men who assault him, police said.
During the struggle, Sagastume-Aceituno is repeatedly stabbed and then walks away from the scene and collapses, police said. He was discovered by a passing citizen who flagged down police.
If anyone sees Zapata-Herrera, they are asked to call investigators at 203-977-4444.

Thoughts? I'm reasonably assuming Zapata-Herrera is still at-large as of this posting date (October 12th, 2020), since the above article is from only a few days ago with no updates since. However, if anyone ever has any updates/proof-of-updates, they are always more than welcome to let us know.
Also please keep in mind that Zapata-Herrera is currently the only identified suspect in this case. Even if he's caught, there's also another suspect that will need to face justice for the alleged murder of Isaiah Sagastume-Aceituno.
