This is a great capture, it took them 8 years but this is a sigh of relief. However it makes sense why he got caught in Austria.

Nice! I'm not entirely surprised he was captured since he's a relatively recent fugitive with Interpol after him as well but I wasn't expecting Austria. Great capture!

I'm a fan of shows like NCIS, CSI, Castle and Law & Order but also know that they give a false impression of how things work in the real world from cops being able to brutalize suspects with no consequence to ignoring Miranda Rights and the biggest one of all, that bad guys/gals always lose and get locked up forever. L & O and sometimes CSI were the only shows that were honest in showing that sometimes you can have a hunch or a theory or have a lot of evidence and in the end it won't be enough because of witnesses changing their story, evidence being thrown out or a DA deciding to cut a deal etc. That's the case here. Yes, they charged him with a lot of stuff but at the end of the day for whatever reason, they couldn't get the charges to hold up thus he got the sentence he got. Not happy with it either but it's sadly something that has happened before and will happen again, just reality.

I'm not surprised, just disappointed.

I'm not surprised, just disappointed. Same here. Was one of the things that angered me sometimes when looking up old AMW captures for the database. Some bad guy/gals got reduced charges or walked altogether. It happens but it's still a disappointing part of the system.
