Moving this thread to the Fugitives on TV section since Ramirez is apparently getting a profile on the October 27th episode of In Pursuit with John Walsh. (Season 3- episode 11).
They mention he's also wanted in a sexual assaults cases which I never knew about before but since his full name matches up to articles it has to be the same case.

It was indeed the Hector Hugo we profiled on our site that was profile on In Pursuit last night- and yes, he is wanted in an alleged sexual assault case that happened just weeks before he allegedly killed Randall Wells.
Ramirez-Lopez has family in the state of Coahulia in Mexico so it seems a matter of there is a likely hiding spot, but they need In Pursuit viewers to help pinpoint his location.

Ok I can give a little more detail now that the west coast airing has completed.
-Hector allegedly stabbed Randall as the result of a dispute between Randall's friends and a group of males at an apartment complex. Randall's friend was allegedly catcalling one of the men's girlfriend which started the dispute. This obviously is still no excuse for murder and Hector allegedly bought a knife to a fist fight a la the Jihad Ramadan case that was on AMW and In Pursuit
-Hector allegedly raped a female acquaintance just two weeks before allegedly killing Randall Wells. The woman was brave enough to share her story on camera for In Pursuit.

They didn't explicitly state it, but I don't see how this can't be a direct capture, breaking the 0-24 season 3 curse!

Some articles state that it isn't clear if Ramirez-Lopez knew he was on In Pursuit or if the show had to do with his surrender, but while I know we might want to grasp at straws since the season had so few direct captures (which once again wasn't the show's fault- for the most part they picked catchable fugitives, just direct captures are very streaky sometimes), I don't see how he didn't know or how it didn't play a role. Same thing happened with Jihad Ramadan who was on the run for like 15 years, ironically wanted for a very similar type of murder. Even though it was never explicitly stated he surrendered due to In Pursuit, I found the timing way too coincidental, the same year he finally gets a full-profile on a John Walsh-hosted show, for In Pursuit to have not played a role.
