Alex Mata Garcia (DOB 6/2/99) – Mata Garcia has a bench warrant for failure to appear in court on charges of lewd or lascivious battery.
Police say this 20-year-old man was having sexual relations with a 12-year-old girl after the two met on social media.
When the girl told a trusted adult, police questioned Mata Garcia, who said that he thought the girl was 16 – which would have still made his actions illegal.
Mata Garcia spent one month in jail for this charge before posting $25,000 bail. He was supposed to show back up in court for a hearing in February, however, he’s been AWOL ever since.
He was last known to be working for a roofing company, under the alias of Franklin Morales Garcia. He is 4’11”, 140 pounds, and has a red birthmark on his temple. His last known address is in East Fort Myers.
