COLUMBUS, Ohio (WSYX/WTTE) — The Columbus Division of Police is searching for a man who is wanted for murder after he is accused of shooting and killing a woman Sunday night in East Columbus.
Clarence J. Watkins III, 41, is wanted for murder in the shooting death of Xyanna Fraley, 24, a release from Columbus police said.
Around 7:10 p.m. Sunday, police received a shots fired call in the area of 1000 Bryden Road. When officers arrived on scene, they found Fraley, who had been shot multiple times. She was pronounced dead a short time later.
On Tuesday, a murder warrant was filed for Watkins III, police said.
Watkins is 5 feet 11 inches tall and weighs 180 pounds. Police said he had braided shoulder-length hair when he was last seen.
According to police, he could be driving a black 2018 Honda Accord with silver accents and Ohio license plates HEP7743.
