(Above photo credit: Lakewood/East Dallas Advocate) From the Lakewood/East Dallas Advocate: Authorities are looking for a man accused of killing a scooter driver in a hit-and-run Saturday in Old East Dallas. Enrique Ortiz, 44, is wanted in connection with the death of Alfredo Delgadillo, who was riding the scooter with a woman at about 8 p.m. in the 2600 block of Matilda Street. Delgadillo, 28, died from his injuries at a local hospital. The woman was treated for injuries that were not considered life-threatening. Ortiz is described as a 5-foot-6, 165-pound man with dark hair, police said. Anyone with information is asked to call police at 214-671-0012 or 214-671-0020. Crime Stoppers will pay up to $5,000 for information that leads to an arrest and indictment. Leave an anonymous tip at 214-373-8477.lakewood.advocatemag.com/2020/03/18/man-wanted-in-hit-and-run/Thoughts? I am not 100 percent sure but am reasonably assuming Ortiz is still at large as of this posting date (5/4/2020) since the above article is from only a month ago with no updates since. Of course, if anyone ever has any updates/proof-of-updates one way or the other, they are always more than welcome to let us know.
