To be fair, John Walsh didn't really mention it being an "honor killing" either. At the tail-end of the profile, he said that some in the media were referring to it that way, then followed up by saying it was anything but honorable.

I remember they long suspected him, but didn't have any specific evidence to charge him. So glad the evidence apparently finally came through!

I'm absolutely astounded that he hasn't been caught. Generally, Iowa is a state that doesn't have many fugitives, and the ones they do have don't last very long on the run. This guy has been a fugitive for 16 years!
Maybe we'll get a Justice Network PSA on him.

Something I'd like to see is how Callahan Walsh (John's second-oldest son after Adam) performs on-camera. He did some behind-the-scenes work on the Lifetime show, so he's obviously got some interest in continuing his father's legacy - in fact, I remember seeing him interviewed on Larry King Live once where he said something to that effect. Elizabeth Smart would also be a pretty good choice. I've never seen her reports, so I don't know how well she does on-air, but I'd support her going for it if she had an interest. And if my favorite correspondent, Tom Morris, decided he wanted to try his hand at hosting, I'd support him 110%

I remember what they used to do was pan upward from the taxi where Sarah and Amina were killed, and after her 911 call was played, John Walsh would start his narration again. The camera would then pan down and show John speaking. Because the sky was blue, it seemed like a seamless transition.

I hate cases like this. It's so hard to find the truth about what happened, and you don't want to accuse either side of lying, especially when a child is involved.
If you've never read the story of Bobby and Kristi Baskin, I highly recommend you check it out. They were a frequently-aired Unsolved Mysteries case about two siblings abducted by their grandparents. They were missing for 20 years until, out of the blue, they were located! The children claim that their parents were abusing them and that their grandparents rescued them, and as far as I know, they have refused to meet with their parents. What's tricky in that instance is that they are both adults now, and you can't force an adult to do something (you can't force a child either, but it's much more challenging as an adult). It's a super sad case.

*They had originally axed the Shame segments because 15 seconds was far too little time to describe a fugitive's crimes and whereabouts. This is why they replaced it with BOLO in November '010. I had this confirmed to me from Steve Katz himself on Twitter. He said that while the segment was popular, they wanted to do something that devoted more time to a fugitive.

The O'Brien brothers and their father were profiled on December 14, 1996, if anybody's curious. Discovered this by accident when I was Googling "AMW" once and found that somebody apparently had a copy of the episode. While they didn't post it, they did list all the cases that were profiled.

Adam Gadahn, an American who later became a high-ranking Al-Qaeda official, was killed in a drone strike back in January. The news was announced today, as well as the deaths of two hostages killed in the same strike. www.nbcnews.com/news/world/american-al-qaeda-leader-adam-gadahn-dead-drone-strke-state-n346891Gadahn was profiled twice on AMW in 2004; his profiles were included in an anti-terror alert that included several other Al-Qaeda operatives. Only two suspected terrorists from that original broadcast - Abderraouf Jdey and Amer El-Maati - remain wanted.

I'm guessing the domain expired. If there's no evidence the case has been solved, that's the most logical reason to me for the website no longer existing.
