Police are looking for a man who murdered Ronald Bridges back in 2002, shortly after robbing a video game store. AMW profiled the case multiple times since 2003. Police say the unknown man, with a getaway driver waiting outside, entered a Houston video game store, wearing a disguise, and armed with a handgun. After spray painting the security cameras, the man proceeded to fill his bag with cash, video games, and video game consoles. When a customer entered the store, the cashier mouthed that he was being robbed. The customer then left and called the police. Shortly after sirens were heard, police believe the getaway panicked and abandoned his partner. The robber tried to flee the store, but was knocked down by the door and forced to leave empty handed. The robber fled into a nearby neighborhood, and entered a house with the door unlocked. He then hid in the attic for hours, while police set up a perimeter around the neighborhood. Ronald Bridges, the owner of the home, was asleep on his couch while the robber broke in. Hours later, he woke up and received a call from his wife, reminding him to pick her up. Suddenly, the line went dead. Police say the robber fell through the ceiling and got into a struggle with Bridges. Police say the man beat and strangled Bridges to death, and then stole his truck. The truck was later found abandoned and torched. What to you guys think? I don't think the killer or his accomplice are from the area, since I have a feeling they would've at least been identified by now. They got a pretty good sketch of them, one of the better ones. I think someone would've recognized them if they lived not far from the crime scenes. Unfortunately, I think the guy probably changed his appearance drastically too. The sketch is over ten years old now, so showing it to the public would be unhelpful if the man grew his hair out, grew facial hair, or even gained or lost weight. In the beginning, I thought they would catch this guy through catching his accomplice, since he was seen as well, as well as his car (a 1995 Chevrolet Caprice). However, there's a good chance they went their separate ways after the murder/robbery, and he could've also changed his appearance as well. Thoughts? Eyewitness' aren't the most reliable though. Maybe it's just me, but I still see a resemblance between Strong and the composite

I can see the resemblance, but I'm curious as to what kind of evidence they have on him, given that it's been almost 10 years since the crime.

I find it really sad that this thread was my first post on this site over a year and a half ago, and there hasn't been one single update to this case. A triple murder, and there is barely anything about it on the internet. I just don't get it. They must really haven't had any leads on Alvarado since he first went on the run. Anyone here have any sort of theory as to where he is, besides the ones already discussed?

Tbh, I'm not 100% sure where to put this thread, as you'll read later. I meant to do it in late April, after the 10th anniversary. Anyway, Othmaro Orellana is wanted in connection of a quadruple homicide back in 2004. In April 2004, police were called to a house where they discovered 4 dead bodies. Danny Green, his sister Veronica Orellana, and Veronica's two children, 1 year-old Gloria, and 2 year-old Omar had all been killed. At the time, cops could not located Veronica's estranged husband, Othmaro. Police say Othmaro stole Veronica's car, which was found abandoned near the Mexican border. At the time, police only charged him with stealing the car, and just considered him a person of interest in the homicides. Not long after the murders, police received a call from Othmaro's family in El Salvador. They claimed he committed suicide there. As far as I know, however, they have never confirmed that he was in fact deceased. Maybe I missed it, but I haven't found anything that states Othmaro has been confirmed dead. That's the reason I wasn't sure where to put this thread, in case he was in fact dead. I do have issues with the suicide story. If he was going to kill himself, why travel to El Salvador to do it? The fact that he went to a country where his family lives, and that they're the ones who claim he killed himself, tells me the story is more than likely just a smokescreen. If that's the case, then he's probably still in El Salvador, with his family helping him. Thoughts? Admin Note: We are unsure if this still an active case. If it is, call your nearest police or crime stoppers line if you have tip-related information. I've been wanting to do a thread on Fowler for the longest time; the only reason I didn't was because I didn't know anything about the case, except the fact that he escaped while serving time for manslaughter. That being said, I'm very glad that he's finally been caught.

I remember reading about this case and for some reason, I kept thinking that if this guy was involved with the New England mob back in the 70's, I wonder if he ever was somehow involved in some way with James "Whitey" Bulger. Just today though, I saw a post on an UM forum that discussed Caruana and quoted this from the Wikipedia page of Richard Castucci, a Mafioso in the New England mob.
"Castucci allegedly murdered a man that he suspected of having an affair with his wife Sandra. From late 1969 to 1970, Castucci suspected that Sandra was dating Salvatore M. Caruana, a prominent drug dealer and made man with the Patriarca crime family. Sandra has to this day denied any such relationship with Caruana. Nevertheless, an enraged Castucci threatened Caruana with physical harm if he did not stay away from Sandra.
However, FBI agent John Connolly, Castucci's handler, confirmed Caruana's affair with Sandra. Caruana disappeared in 1984 and was never heard of again. Caruana's body was never found and no one was ever charged with his murder."
Those familiar with the Bulger case knows that agent Connolly was in league with Bulger and is now serving time for murder. Castucci was also eventually murdered under Bulger's orders after he became an FBI informant.
I always kind of believed that Caruana was dead due to his mob relationships. My main interest was as to whether or not he had ever been involved with Whitey Bulger.

I agree with everyone except Gerena. Something tells me that once Castro and his brother are gone from power that Gerena will realize he may not have the protection he once had. I think he may try to flee to another country and that's when we'll get him.
I do have a few though.
Arthur Lee Washington: it's one thing for cops to believe a fugitives dead; its another for the FBI to remove a guy from their most wanted list because they honestly believe he's dead. I think the FBI must've confirmed Washington had AIDS, and if that's the case, and that it's been 14 years since he was removed from the 10 most wanted list, he's probably not alive.
William Fischer: he's been on the run for over 25 years, and he's in his late 60s. And let's go over all the health problems he'd face: he was overweight, addicted to crack cocaine, drank excessively, chain-smoked menthol cigarettes, and enjoyed multiple sex partners, heightening the risk of STDs. I really don't think he lasted much longer after he went on the run.

Police are looking for the persons responsible for the murder of Joe Cole back in 1991. The case was profiled on Unsolved Mysteries, but I'm not sure if it was profiled on AMW. Joe Cole was the son of actor Dennis Cole. He was a part-time actor, band roadie, and writer. He started out as a roadie for the band Hole, and eventually became a roadie for Black Flag and Rollins Band, and was best friends with their lead singer: actor, singer, and activist Henry Rollins. In December 1991, Cole and Rollins were coming home from a grocery store after attending a Hole concert when they were assaulted by two men, both described as African-Americans in their 20's. The two men demanded money and, dissatisfied at the amount they had, forced them into their house to rob them some more. While Cole remained outside, Rollins was forced inside at gunpoint, while the robbers ransacked the place. During the robbery, Cole was shot in the face at close range, and Rollins was able to escape the house and alert the police. After killing Cole, the two robbers escaped. The murder remains unsolved. One of the reasons I brought this case up was that, while many people are aware of who Henry Rollins is, I'll bet many people aren't aware of this case. Unfortunately, I honestly believe this was just a case of a random robbery gone wrong, and unless someone is willing to confess, I seriously doubt it will ever get solved. There's a strong possibility that the perpetrators are already in prison for another crime, or even dead. If it's the later, that makes solving this case almost impossible. Thoughts? I thought of a theory regarding this case.
According to the autopsy, the woman suffered from gonorrhea, which IMO would give credence to the theory of her being a prostitute. I think it's possible that someone she had previously been involved with might have contracted the disease as well, and either found out she was the carrier, or just blamed her regardless. If the killer was a married man, I especially can see him lashing out and possibly killing her for giving him an STD, since that would almost guarantee everyone would find out what he was up to. The problem is, given that we don't even know who she is, it's almost impossible to determine who she would have been with back then. If my theory is correct, the only way to crack the case would be a jilted ex-wife or girlfriend from 30 years ago mentioning their significant other cheating on them and contracting the disease.
I'm not saying this is what happened, but I thought it was an interesting theory nonetheless.

I've mentioned it before, but I thought I would post it here.
A few years ago, I had a dream, and during a part of it, I was browsing through the amw archives site. In my dream, the site could go back to the early 90s with capture reports. Anyways, I was looking through and one capture report was on Teddy Ellis, (to clarify, he's still on the run.). In the report, it stated in 1996, Ellis' skeletal remains were discovered in some wooded area in Nebraska. I always found it interesting if it turned out it was true. Although I went on the doe network and didn't see anyone resembling Ellis.

I also am going to guess that she probably fled to somewhere in Europe. My guess is that she is probably pulling off the same kind of scams there as well.

I just bought this book called the Encyclopedia of the FBI's Ten Most Wanted fugitives. It's a little outdated, since it stops at 2004, but it gave a lot of details about fugitives I had no idea about, especially the early ones. There are two facts that are AMW-related that I never knew before reading this:
1. Ronald Lee Lyons, a bank robber serving time in the 70's, was added to the list after he escaped during a trip to a bowling alley with other prisoners. One of the prisoners he escaped with was Larry Chism.
2. Around the time he was arrested in Mexico, Glen Godwin allegedly put out a hit on his ex-wife Shelley, right before she was captured. She divorced him when he was caught and claimed that he forced her to help him escape.
It's a shame it stopped so early, but it was a great read nonetheless.

Just to make it a clean sweep, I'm also voting for McDuff, one of the most underrated serial killers in this time. I also find it very fitting that the two finalists have been put to death. Shows just how violent and dangerous these fugitives were.
