I usually post web-exclusive fugitives in the web-exclusive section, but this is a man who will definitely be on amw if he isn't caught by then. Christopher Dorner is an ex-LAPD cop wanted for multiple homicides that targeted officers and their families. He posted an online manifesto threatening to go after those that wronged him, and apparently made good on those threats. Whether the corruption and racism he alleges is true or not it doesn't give him the right to kill people. John Walsh will talk about him on CNN at 8 pm tonight. This man has FBI top 10 potential written all over him. www.amw.com/fugitives/case.cfm?id=81200EDIT: After a long-drawn out saga in the Big Bear Mountains of California where an officer was killed, a body has been found in a burned cabin that an LAPD source confirms is Chris Dorner. kwgn.com/2013/02/12/fugitive-ex-cop-christopher-dorner-suspected-in-big-bear-shootout-2-officers-wounded/

We haven't had a Top Tenner captured before he was officially published to the list since Chanson McKibbins. This could happen again. I'm also bringing up the possiblity of Dorner being put on both the FBI and Marshals Most Wanted Lists, which hasn't happened since Ralph Phillips.

So John Walsh was actually on the show "Erin Burnett Out Front"and basically just stated how if you don't want to deal with law enforcement you can call 1-800-crime-tv-etc. etc and you can remain anonymous to send in your tips on Dorner and of course still no news on the return of amw.
This case has become HUGE which is not a surprise. A torched van believed to be belonging to him has been found and he sent a rambling, bizarre letter to CNN host Anderson Cooper.
This case is also taking a similar turn to Bucky Phillips in that online support groups are forming for Dorner, which disgusts me. Let's just assume for argument's sake his allegations are true and he was fired from the LAPD for being a whistleblower and telling the truth. It still does not matter. Go the media, go to facebook, get any reporter who will listen to you, do what you can to try to expose the corruption, but when you start taking lives, you've crossed the line. I feel bad for his life seeming to turn upside down after his getting fired, regardless of if he's telling the truth or not, but it doesn't give him the right to do what he allegedly did.

So this is officially the most bizarre fugitive chase I've ever seen, the following is a website copy of Dorner's manifesto, where he mentions his anger at lesbians in the police department, lists his favorite celebrities and laments he won't be around to see the Hangover Part III. laist.com/2013/02/07/christopher_dorners_manifesto_in_fu.phpAnd in that letter he praises Charlie Sheen, who has asked Dorner to call him so they can "figure out how to end this thing" www.foxnews.com/us/2013/02/09/charlie-sheen-reaches-out-to-ex-lapd-officer-accused-in-killings/You can't make this stuff up. On a more serious note, I take it the reason Dorner hasn't been added to the FBI or US Marshals most wanted list yet is he is in no need of added publicity as he is arguably already the biggest story in the US. While they do add breaking news fugitives from time to time, the idea is usually to attract to someone they are looking for but it would help to get the word out further. Adam Mayes was a huge case, but he wasn't the lead story on Anderson Cooper every night like Dorner has been. If the trail goes cold as it seems to be, he may be added regardless.

The added publicity helps, but it would also help if AMW was back on tv already to air him. *sigh*

One of the officers has unfortunately died. If he kills himself or gets killed, it's not exactly a surprising ending. I think the LAPD may actually want to try to capture Dorner alive to prove any conspiracy theorists wrong. If Dorner chooses to shoot at them some more, they won't have a choice though.
