(Above: Left: Baylee Wall. 18-year-old fugitive in hotel robbeery case in Alabama, found murdered in Ohio. Right: Gary Eubanks Jr., also suspected in robbery, person of interest in Wall's homicide Photo Credits: Oxygen.com via Daphne (Alabama) Police Department) From local12.com: CINCINNATI (WKRC) - Cincinnati police now say a man connected to a woman whose body was found near Woodward High School is now a person of interest in her death. This week, police identified the woman killed as 18-year-old Baylee Wall. Investigators say Wall and Gary Eubanks, Jr. were involved in the robbery of a Microtel Inn in Daphne, Alabama on Oct. 21. Two days later, Wall's body was found in Bond Hill. Cincinnati police said Wall was shot. Police both here and in Alabama are searching for Eubanks. He's believed to be driving the black 2015 Volkswagen Passat with Mississippi plate number JGE1791 used in the robbery. local12.com/news/local/robbery-accomplice-is-person-of-interest-in-death-of-woman-found-at-woodward-high-schoolThoughts? Based on news reports, Eubanks was still at large at least as of today's posting date (October 30th, 2019). I put Alabama and Ohio in the thread title as the wanted states since authorities in both states are searching for Eubanks. The final technical note, I am placing this case in the Fugitives on TV section since the manhunt for Eubanks jr. and investigation into Wall's homicide has been covered on NBC's national news website as well as the Oxygen channel's "Crime News" section: www.nbcnews.com/news/us-news/woman-wanted-alabama-robbery-found-killed-ohio-suspected-male-accomplice-n1073226www.oxygen.com/crime-news/baylee-wall-found-dead-days-after-alleged-robbery-with-gary-eubanksNow as for my commentary- I am in no way excusing Baylee allegedly participating in the hotel robbery, but she deserved possible jail time if caught and convicted- not a death penalty. And 18-year-olds are easily impressionable and influenced. I'm not trying to pretend she was sweet and innocent, but she had plenty of time to attempt turn her life around even with the legal troubles but instead her life was cut tragically short. Additionally, Baylee had a young daughter who will now have to grow up without her mother, while Baylee's own mother has posted on Facebook encouraging friends and those who knew Baylee to share positive memories of her: heavy.com/news/2019/10/baylee-wall/It is important to note Eubanks Jr. is a person of interest only at the moment in Baylee's death, but he still needs to be caught both for the alleged robbery and to answer questions about Baylee, who deserves justice just like any other homicide victim. And, for the advice on who to call with tips portion, right now articles say to Greater Cincinnati Crime Stoppers on 513-352-3040 if you have any information on the homicide of Baylee Wall. If you have information on simply Eubanks' whereabouts, I assume you can contact the Daphne Alabama Police Department: daphneal.com/187/Police-Department Admin Note: If you have any news-related updates on this case, please contact us here: amwfans.com/thread/1662/website-contact-form

Also, it should be obvious but just in case, and anyone can correct me in the million-to-one scenario this isn't the case but Eubanks is a relatively common last name and I'm 99 percent certain Gary Eubanks is not related to U.S. Marshals Top 15 and cold case fugitive Lester Eubanks, it's just rather coincidental one is wanted from Ohio and the other fled from another state to Ohio. I normally wouldn't even bother to mention common last name coincidences if it wasn't for the same state being involved in both cases.

And once again judgmental comments on the internet- you live by the sword you die by the sword, that's what she gets for dating a thug etc... I read a local news reporter comment that Bayley had some sort of traumatic brain injury from a car accident so that could have affected her judgment- let alone her being a teenager and no disrespect but teenagers have bad judgment in general even without that.
If Baylee had been caught and given a potentially controversially harsh sentence for the crime for her age if convicted, I could still possibly understand the comments lacking sympathy and saying that's what you get, but allegedly casing a location (she reportedly walked in and then walked out and that's when Eubanks allegedly robbed the place) for a robbery shouldn't equate to a death penalty.
I'm now in my 30's and have grown up seeing some female friends, relatives etc... from my youth who also had bad judgment in the guys they dated but most of them mature as they get older and finally start dating the right one(s), and they didn't even have a brain injury when (respectfully to them) stupidly choosing to date these guys. It's very easy for us to judge when we don't have the full story/grasp of the situation.

Gary Eubanks Jr. was located yesterday in Milwaukee. He committed suicide. Thank you for the update henkster. While it's good that Eubanks is no longer a threat to society, I will say he took the coward's way out rather than face justice in a court of law for Baylee's murder.

Also a note I was reading articles where Baylee's family was saying they had proof she was forced to participate/didn't help Eubanks willingly based on texts they received etc... My statement was simply even if she willingly helped, she didn't deserve to be murdered but it was a matter for the courts, and we can't judge what we don't know since she was sadly murdered. Anyway I'll link to an article, I guess this sort of concludes matters, although Baylee's mother will now sadly never know why Eubanks allegedly killed their daughter like a coward. www.oxygen.com/crime-news/gary-eubanks-accused-of-killing-baylee-wall-kills-himself-during-standoff

I'll be blunt on this. We've seen cases where people who start out life early committing crimes never change and only get worse. Those people belong in cages. But there are many others who have gotten into trouble and turned their lives around and are productive citizens. I'm good friends with a couple of people like that who got into trouble when they were younger but are now married, have jobs and are productive members of their community. Baylee deserved to have a day in court to answer for the charges she faced but also for a chance to turn her life around, something Gary denied her. She is a victim of a violent crime who didn't deserve what happened to her. And if you think she did, then you aren't any better then most of the bad guys/gals who were featured on AMW over the years since they thought they had a right to kill their victims too.
