From pe.com:
Hemet police are asking for the public’s help in locating a man they have identified as the prime suspect in a December 2018 slaying.
Luis Eduardo Reyes, 27, of San Jacinto is being sought in the death of Juan Ernesto Romero, 28,who was shot several times late on the night of Dec. 28, 2018 in the 100 block of north Tahquitz Avenue.
Hemet detectives believe Reyes is in Mexico. The department said in a release Thursday that several suspects believed to have helped Reyes after Romero’s death have been arrested, but Reyes remains at large.
A wanted poster from the department describes Reyes as 6 feet in height, 187 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes.

Thoughts? As far as I can tell, Reyes is still at large as of this posting date (October 16th, 2019), since the above article is from roughly only over a month ago and I've seen no updates since. However, if anyone has any updates/proof-of-updates one way or the other, they are always more than welcome to let us know.
I could not find anything about an alleged motive in the case.
