On September 26, 1996, relatives of Claive Pierre reported the woman missing to Orange County, Florida authorities. She had failed to appear to work as a housekeeper for Disney World and her belongings and two young children had been left behind. A search warrant was later issued for her home's backyard after fresh dirt was seen. After hours of digging, authorities found the remains of Claive.
The investigation determined that Claive had been murdered and a warrant was issued on October 11, 1996 for her husband John Pierre on an alleged charge of 1st Degree Murder. Claive obtained a restraining order against John in 1995 after she told a judge he allegedly threatened to kill her and use voodoo against her.
John Pierre may still be hiding out in Haiti where it's believed he originally fled to.

Thoughts? As of today, August 11, 1996, the 1996 murder case against John Pierre shows as Capias/Warrant status in the Orange County court records, with the Florida Statewide Warrants Search showing the warrant as well, so we know for sure he's still at large. This was another case that I was thankfully able to learn about through the last name searches in the FDLE public database.
John Pierre would be in his mid-60s today so it's quite possible he's still alive. There have been some good progress with capturing and extraditing fugitives from Haiti to the US in recent years, so hopefully that can work in this case as well.
