Joel Chairez-Munoz is wanted for a homicide where his vehicle was the weapon.
In the early hours of Nov 6, 2011, Joel Chairez-Munoz was at a bar in Greeley when he got into an altercation with some Mexican nationals. At 1:30 am, the other five men were walking to a 7-Eleven store when Joel drove right into their path with his car, mowing down four of the men and killing 43-year old Juan Cortez-Rodriguez.
At the time of the murder, Joel was serving a six-year probation sentence for a 2008 felony menancing conviction. Bizzarely enough, according to Joel's facebook page, he was studying social inequality in the sociology program at the University of Northern Colorado.
Thoughts? Not much else to say about this case aside for Joel probably still being in the Southwestern US or taking off to Mexico. It's not everyday you see a sociology student becoming a fugitive, however, anyone under the right circumstances, can commit acts of violence.
