Dennis Steinbauer was mentioned briefly on AMW on Lifetime in 2012. He was a long-time wanted sex offender wanted out of Scottsdale, Arizona. After police stopped a man for having no lights on his bicycle in Payson, Arizona, they learned he was a man who was stopped before and had used a fake alias. He had lied about his name 11 different times and he finally slipped up a few weeks ago when he made an officer suspicious by using a different birth date. He was through new technology identified as AMW fugitive Dennis Steinbauer. Interesting side note, Payson is the area Robert Fisher was believed to have initially fled to after the murder of his family in 2001. It makes one wonder since Steinbauer hid in plain sight all these years www.paysonroundup.com/news/2014/may/02/hiding-plain-sight/

It's always wonderful to read about fugitives getting caught for making stupid mistakes, like riding a bicycle with no lights on. Even though Steinbauer lived in plain sight not far from where he was wanted out of (he and Robert Fisher were interestingly both fugitives wanted out of Scottsdale), he had far less media attention than Fisher, and therefore, probably never made anyone suspicious.

Off-topic, but I apologize for all the type-o's I now fixed. I posted from my cell phone and every time I do that my stubby fingers sometimes either miss a letter and/or don't autocorrect properly.
