According to the South Florida Sun-Sentinel, Semiha Chess is accused of striking and killing 56-year old William Norris, a homeless man, with her car on March 18, 1995. A witness who had to serve to avoid William's body got the license plate number from the car that caused William's death. The check of the license plate led authorities to Semiha Chess. A photo line-up for the witness also identified Semiha.
Unfortunately, Semiha immediately fled to her native Turkey as a credit check confirmed she had used her credit card there on March 20, 1995. She is still at large.
Based on investigating agencies, it is advised to contact the local authorities at 954-493-8477 if you have any information on Semiha Chess's whereabouts.

Thoughts? As of today, May 3, 2019, Semiha Chess still has listed active warrants in the Florida Statewide Warrant Database and the Broward County Public Court Records. I will include the links to those websites below so we can keep track of this manhunt.
Also Semiha Chess was yet another fugitive I learned about through the last-name searches on the FDLE warrant database. As we've seen from Alvin Scott still being on the run, finding Semiha in Turkey will not be easy. We have to hope that she returned to the US or travelled to another country in the 24 years she's been on the run. As always, getting publicity on confirmed fugitives is essential when no one on the internet is profiling them.
Last point, and even though Semiha is considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law, I really would like an explanation as to why she fled overseas one-two days after William's death.
