From the Houston Chronicle:
A Pasadena business owner has been charged with murder in the shotgun slaying of a man outside his home in October.
Pasadena police said they are looking for Oscar Aristides Garcia, 31, who has been charged in the death of Nicolas Bautista.
Authorities said they believe Garcia, who they identified as a business owner, traveled to the South Texas region.
Bautista, 37, was shot around 1 p.m. Oct. 28 in the 200 block of Wafer Street. Police found him lying on the sidewalk when they arrived.
Witnesses told police they saw a man exit a Ford F-150 four-door truck carrying a shotgun. He approached Bautista.
Bautista's sister, Cordelia Orozco, said the man accused her brother of stealing property. Bautista didn't speak Spanish, however, and his girlfriend had to translate, his sister said.
As the conversation got heated, Bautista turned to call the police on his cell phone when the truck driver fired a shotgun once, striking Bautista in the back.
Police are asking anyone with information to call Houston Crime Stoppers, 713-222-TIPS, or Detective C. MacGregor at 713 475-7891.

Thoughts? As of this posting date (1/30/2019), Garcia still has a warrant for murder and is still not in custody according to Harris County's online court records search: www.hcdistrictclerk.com/edocs/public/CaseDetails.aspx?Get=v783uASiNrDjewf0PLh1Sg8MHWvxfta9alIvEYBm9WS/BBQmoX3ODoYV9e/3Ytks+1Wl5mTIogd5aojHTF65KmEdgTg1PmvppguWG3BTG522/ME+5SwMVvOeOR+BNanobvi5FhK+e9HsdXheF3DHrq+8vHacxawEqcgj9xXYZXY6Bjq8d3a6Ng==
According to an Austin Telemundo story, it seems Garcia may have mistaken Bautista for a known criminal in the neighborhood who looked like Bautista. So not only do we have a guy who allegedly took the law into his own hands, he allegedly took the law into his own hands and shot and killed a completely innocent person.
The article mentions Garcia was last known to have taken a bus to McAllen, Texas, but authorities believe he likely fled to his native El Salvador.
Also, a note to the family of Nicholas Bautista. I found out about your case from your postings to In Pursuit with John Walsh's Facebook page. I want to stress we're only an unofficial fan site for his shows and have no official connections, but after seeing your story I was compelled to post to at least put some publicity on the manhunt for Garcia. I hope you guys if you're reading this were able to get through to In Pursuit as well.
