(Above photo credit: amw.com archives) Fugitive Profile as of August 9th, 2014 (based on FBI.gov profile): Date(s) of Birth Used: February 14, 1974 Place of Birth: Uzbekistan Height: 5'9" Weight: 165 pounds Occupation: Construction Worker Hair: Black Eyes: Brown Sex: Male Race: White Nationality: Uzbekistani Scars and Marks: Davronov has a tattoo on his left hand. Remarks: Davronov may have traveled to New York City or his native country of Uzbekistan. He also has ties to Elkhorn, Wisconsin. Who to call if you've seen him: Local FBI field office or embassy or submit a web tip to tips.fbi.govAuthorities in Chicago are searching for Sukhrob Davronov in connection with a homicide. AMW aired the case once during the 15 SOS in 2006. On May 30, 2005, Davronov was at a backyard barbeque party with several fellow men from Uzbekistan, including Odiljon Istamov. Davronov and Istamov were arguing after drinking vodka, about their mothers and money owed from a construction job. Davronov began calling Istamov names, including a "chameleon" which is a harsh insult in Uzbekistan. The host of the party kicked most of the people out including Davronov. Istamov soon left and was confronted by an angry and drunk Davronov. After the two had a fistfight, Davronov then stabbed Istamov to death. Thoughts? The FBI believes Davronov may have fled to Wisconsin, New York City or Uzbekistan. His archived amw.com page mentions that Davronov and Istamov were from the town of Samarkand, Uzbekistan, so Davronov may not have fled back to that town if he went back to his native country. www.fbi.gov/wanted/murders/sukhrob-davronov/viewAdmin Note: If you have any news-related updates on this case, please contact us here: amwfans.com/thread/1662/website-contact-form

This sort of reminds me of the Kenneth Cofer case- a barbecue party where an argument with neighbors got completely out of hand.
It will unfortunately probably we very hard to find and bring him back if he did indeed flee to Uzbekistan.

So last week I PMed Scumhunter notifying him about the possibility that I perhaps found a social media page and images of a man looking similar to our fugitive, only slightly older from 2016 and 2017. I went through the man resembling Davronov social media accounts and they both don’t seem have any activity since the images, nor a location on where he lives and as I’ve stated he has friends that are all living in Samarkand, Uzbekistan including a male relative that shares the same last name as the fugitive. As soon as I notified Scumhunter and told me what the proper channels were in these situations, I submitted a tip to the FBI about my discovery. There’s a good chance they already knew this or won’t be able to do much since he’s there and bringing him back is near impossible, but it’s worth a shot as Scumhunter said. Any thoughts? m.facebook.com/profile.php?v=info&lst=100003481630646%3A100012324044119%3A1515733914&id=100012324044119m.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100016407212306

Could just be a coincidence and a guy who looks like him. Even if was him could be unextraditeable. I can see a resemblance for what it's worth.

I’m very curious if as a result of the tip I submitted in January, that it’ll possibly result in least his addition to the Top Ten List at least, basically a Brenda Delgado style situation.

I hate to get your hopes up, but as I said his (if it was Sukhrob) profile was easy to find and something the FBI should have known about already anyway and just stated it was a good idea to give a tip anyway just in case. If the guy was the fugitive, then it's pretty obvious he's living somewhere where he doesn't think he can be extradited.
With Delgado, Mexico can be a pain in the butt sometimes or often, especially if the fugitive is a native, but it's not nearly the pain in the butt some countries Davronov may be in. They're not going to make the same mistake as they did with Semion Mogilevich, who on paper is deserving on being on the top ten list, but extradition-wise was not a good addition.

As of July 14th, 2018, Davronov is still listed on the FBI's website as a wanted fugitive. (Same link as in the OP).

Unfortunately he has been removed from the FBI Website as of this posting 12/29/18 as I no longer see him on there.

Sorry to see that too but as far as I can tell he's still at large as of today.

As of today, August 9, 2021, there is an active UFAP warrant for Sukhrob in PACER. The warrant has had no case updates since it was issued on June 1, 2005 and has not been closed/dismissed without prejudice. This will be our reference to confirm that Sukhrob is still at large.
The warrant itself mentioned credible evidence that Sukhrob initially fled to Wisconsin. However, based on the fact that the FBI removed him from their website, and based on the possible FB page, they may have confirmed that Sukhrob made his way back to Uzbekistan.

Usually in the former Soviet Republics, Russia, China, and Mongolia, getting fugitives back from those countries is impossible as it is due to a lack of extradition treaties with said countries. I think it’s crazy a person can flee the United States to countries like Russia, Mongolia, and Uzbekistan and even use social media allegedly as if they did nothing internationally.
