I really hope it isn’t Hania especially since this is one case I’ve put so much emotion into. I just hope it’s not her, but instead I hope she’s found alive and well.

I hate to say it but it doesn't look good right now. It's just obviously you never lose hope until they say it's her. This was unfortunately a possibility and our worst fear, in cases like this we need to be be optimistic and assume the missing child is alive and out there somewhere until proven otherwise but we also need to be prepared for the worst news as well, but it doesn't make it any less tragic or heartbreaking if it is her.

It unfortunately doesn’t look good, and even worse, her classmates and teachers are heartbroken right now. Whatever the outcome is, we need the bas***d that is responsible for this crime.

Yeah, unless they somehow have a suspect in custody, it looks like I will have to move this thread from missing to the to the unsolved cases section soon. The problem is I still can't do that until they declare her death (if this is her) a homicide, but it obviously can't seem to be any other conclusion other than this piece of below human trash murdered her.
The scary part about all this as heartbroken as everyone is about Hania, I see no reason why the person who took her won't eventually abduct or attempt to abduct another young child.
Then of course you have to question if Hania and Jayme Closs's cases are related. My personal feeling right now is they aren't based on the geography (Wisconsin is a long way from North Carolina, and the way Hania and Jayme were taken were different). But it's still very frightening that both horrible cases could happen at the same time.

The FBI has confirmed they are now investigating Hania's case as a homicide so I've unfortunately moved her case to the unsolved on tv section.
As said before, it's important to not make assumptions and even though the odds are against it in circumstances like Jayme's and Hania's (and sadly the worst case scenario is usually the most frequent scenario), you have to assume the missing child is alive since miracles such as Elizabeth Smart have happened. Basically time is of the essence, and the longer the child is missing, the lesser the chances of recovery, and you don't want to give up until you have no other choice. Unfortunately, Hania will not be one of the rare miracles, and all we can do now is try to get justice for her and get to the trash that did this before they strike again.

Hania Aguilar has been re-added to the FBI Site under the seeking information section. www.fbi.gov/wanted/seeking-info/hania-noelia-agiularLet’s just hope we can find the ba*t**d(s) responsible for her death. This case really hit me, that there are some f***ed up people, This person or persons snatched Hania from her family, and looking back it hurts knowing that it was the last time they would see her. This case really hit me, and it actually made me cry the day they confirmed it was her, I hope the person or persons responsible have a guilty conscience, I hope they are punished to the fullest extent of the law and most importantly they burn in hell for eternity.

Hi toptenhunter,
It's totally fine to feel the way you do.
As someone watching AMW or some other type of John Walsh show for over 20 years, unfortunately, cases like Hania's usually have sad endings. Thankfully more often than not, the perpetrator is caught, but usually the missing child or person is already deceased. Although there were cases before his, Adam Walsh was probably the first case like Hania's to fully enter modern public consciousness. He was obviously kidnapped, everyone like with Hania, hoped he'd be found, and unfortunately the search for him ended tragically.
When Elizabeth Smart was recovered, John Walsh commenting on it stated "we finally got one back alive" and broke down crying- an admittance from even from him that most of these cases don't end well.
I still think the right thing to do is to assume the missing child or person is alive- even if nine times out of ten the ending will be sad and the odds are against it- you want to be positive and optimistic- but also follow the clues as well to take away the not knowing in the worst case scenario and also to prepare to catch the p.o.s. in the worst case scenario.
Hopefully it changes soon, but what's frustrating to me is how tough the investigations into both Hania and Jayme's cases seen so far. Some information is purposely withheld from the public, but right now all indications are authorities are baffled by both cases.
Hopefully we will see justice for Hania, she certainly didn't do anything to deserve what happened to her, and was just a sweet and innocent young girl. No matter how many times this happens, this kind of evil will always be unfathomable to me.

Also, not to put a damper on the good news (albeit good news on a case that is still a tragedy) but I am very disappointed in the U.S. State Department for not allowing Hania's father a temporary Visa to attend her funeral service tomorrow. (He is a citizen of Guatemala) Any human being with a shred of decency would agree this should not be a political issue. Any father whose daughter was taken from him in such a cruel, brutal, and unfair way deserves the chance to pay his proper respects. www-m.cnn.com/2018/12/07/us/north-carolina-teen-funeral-visa-denied/index.html?r=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.cnn.com%2F

Apparently the suspect arrested had already been in custody in a separate case for trying to carjack and rob a woman for her money, that’s why finding him was very difficult. But I’m very glad we all get to see the b**t**d’s face and finally he can be judged in a court of law.
