Really scary case, and frightening what's going on considering Jayme Closs is still missing at the moment as well. I hope Hania is found safe and SOON. Admin Note: If you have any news-related updates on this case, please contact us here: amwfans.com/thread/1662/website-contact-form UPDATE:
Sadly, remains found in Robeson County are believed to be of Hania Aguilar. The FBI has confirmed they are now investigating her death as a homicide. It is our assumption that anyone with information on the identity of Hania's killer can still call/contact the FBI and/or the Lumberton (North Carolina) Police Department. Hania's case will be moved from the "Missing" to the "Unsolved on TV" section as a result of this heartbreaking news.

Going to move Hania's case to Missing on TV since she has received some national news coverage- although with us being distracted by the midterms not as much as there should be.

Oh no, the FBI coverage has been fine. It's the national media coverage I have an issue with- I hate to go there- normally unfortunately it's one of those "media doesn't care as much if the missing/victim/potential victim is a minority" situations- but I feel just this onetime the election was a rare "excuse" for the news to be distracted. However, I unfortunately can't say whether or not things would have been different at a less busy time- just they had an excuse- whether it was a valid or important enough excuse in one's opinion or not- where you can't call racial preference on them just this one time. All I know is Hania has to be found, and we will see how the coverage on her case unfolds from here on out.

UPDATE: (CNN) — Police have found the stolen SUV used in the kidnapping of 13-year-old Hania Aguilar, but the North Carolina teen is still missing. The vehicle was found just before 8 a.m. on Thursday less than 10 miles from the mobile home park from which Hania vanished Monday, authorities said. Investigators asked the public to help find a green 2002/2003 Ford Expedition, which was caught on surveillance cameras near Aguilar's home minutes after she was abducted. Someone called 911 and said they saw the vehicle backed into the woods, leading to its discovery, the FBI said. On Thursday, law enforcement said they needed the public's help again to identify a man walking in the area from where Hania disappeared. The FBI released a video showing what it described as a man wearing light-colored shoes, a light-colored shirt, and a hoodie walking south on Lambert Street, then turning North on Highway 41/Elizabethtown Highway toward the Rosewood Mobile Home Park. la Rocha said the man is not a suspect or a person of interest. "We just want to talk to him because he was the only person walking around that area around that time," de la Rocha said in a news conference Thursday. What happened FBI spokeswoman Shelley Lynch said the vehicle is being processed while authorities try to establish details of Hania's disappearance. A Spanish-speaking woman and man told a 911 operator on Monday that a man stole the SUV, which had been running ahead of a morning ride to school, with a child inside, according to a CNN translation. The FBI, after talking with people at the mobile home park, described her abduction this way: "A witness saw a male subject dressed in all black and wearing a yellow bandana force Hania into a relative's vehicle that was parked in the driveway." Also there appears to be a mistake That is the exact vehicle seen on surveillance video, and the one news crews captured in the woods. that’s a 2003-2006 variant Ford Expedition This is not the vehicle it’s a 1997-2002 Variant Ford Expedition. Many sources have stated 2002/2003 but in reality it’s a 2003.

Also I must add that Lumberton, North Carolina is 2 1/2 hours away from Mount Pleasant, South Carolina, which is the place Ten Most Wanted Fugitive Greg Alyn Carlson was recently sighted and it wouldn’t be outside the realm of possibilities that he possibly Abducted Hania, but then again it’s pure speculation. I still hope investigators can find Hania safe and sound, this case along with Jayme Closs are so unsettling to me since they are both recent.

I think respectfully that's a stretch as most of Greg Carlson's alleged victims have been adult females and abducting a girl young or adult doesn't fit his usual mo as it seems his said crimes are mostly during home invasions.

Live PD again made Hania their missing child case of the week (further indicating the gravity of the situation since I believe this is the first time in the show's history a missing child has been profiled twice). Also, authorities want citizens to contact them in two aspects: -If they have surveillance footage or hunting cameras around the time Hania disappeared that may have footage of the 2002 Ford Expedition. -If anyone may have seen her Adidas shoes online: white sneakers with black stripes and colorful stitching on the back heel of the shoe.
