(Above photo credit: fbi.gov) From the FBI's website: Caution: The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and its law enforcement partners are seeking the public's assistance in identifying the individual or individuals responsible for creating and sending numerous suspicious packages to multiple locations across the United States. The packages were mailed in manila envelopes with bubble wrap interior, and were affixed with computer-printed address labels and six Forever stamps. They had a return address of “DEBBIE WASSERMAN SHULTZ” [sic] in Florida. The packages, which are all similar in appearance and contain potentially destructive devices, are being sent for analysis at the FBI Laboratory in Quantico, Virginia. It is possible that additional packages were mailed to other locations. The FBI advises the public to remain vigilant and not touch, move, or handle similar-looking packages, or any suspicious or unknown packages; call 911 or contact your local law enforcement agency. The FBI will continue to work with our federal law enforcement partners at the United States Secret Service, United States Postal Inspection Service, and Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, as well as our other federal, state, and local law enforcement partners, to identify and arrest the person or people responsible for sending these packages. Submit a Tip: If you have information about these packages, please contact the FBI at 1-800-CALL-FBI (1-800-225-5324). If you observe any suspicious activity that requires an immediate response, please call 911 or contact your local law enforcement agency. You may also contact your local FBI office, the nearest American Embassy or Consulate, or you can submit a tip online at tips.fbi.gov. Tipsters may remain anonymous. www.fbi.gov/wanted/seeking-info/investigation-of-suspicious-packagesThoughts? Obviously we were in contentious times and a toxic political atmosphere but I'm sure we can all agree the person or persons who did this need to be brought to justice and this act of terror cannot be tolerated. As far as expanding on my thoughts- I know some think this was actually a liberal wanting to make Republicans look bad but I sincerely doubt it. I'd say the same if the targets were a bunch of Republican figures as well (if the targets were Trump and others I'd say it was a radical leftist- this case is imo a radical right-winger). When there is a theme in who the person is targeting, it is usually because they are angry at that group for whatever reason.
The devices- pipe bombs are said to be crude and not that sophisticated. The person also misspelled Florida as Florids and misspelled John Brennan's last name as "Brenan" while thinking he worked for CNN when he actually comments more frequently for NBC. While perhaps the misspellings were intentional, I don't think the person doing this is a criminal mastermind.
I would describe them as average to slightly above-average level intelligence, having attended high school and maybe some college.
Those who get worked up tend to be on the older side but I don't think this guy is that old, probably between 30-50, probably not married (because a married person would have other stuff to do with their time). I do see him as possibly living with relatives, a parent or parents for example. He has access to cable news or must have to be mad at CNN, so he's not Ted Kaczynski living in some shack in Montana.
I'll expand if I think of anything else later.

Edited the thread to make it more formal since the FBI has made a seeking information flyer on their website.

Good news that DNA left on at least one of the packages has led to the identification and arrest of the suspected bomber, Cesar Sayoc. Mr. Sayoc is a longtime criminal dating back to the 1990s and he has been charged with five federal crimes, including interstate transportation of an explosive and threats against former Presidents and other persons. He is facing up to 58 years if convicted. Even though this was a very tense and scary situation, I give full credit to the postal workers and investigating agents who made sure none of these explosives were used for their intended purpose. This would have been a whole lot worse if even one of those bombs had gone off. www.cnn.com/politics/live-news/clintons-obama-suspicious-packages/index.html

The important thing is he was caught but it looks like besides age I was pretty much on the money- he HAD been living with a parent (mother) but was kicked out, college dropout, not married. Also most sane people could have guessed this but he turned out to be a registered Republican, so much for the idiot MAGA supporters claiming the Democrats had the bombs sent to themselves. www.cnn.com/2018/10/26/politics/suspicious-packages-arrest/index.html
