From Fox 29 San Antonio:
AUSTIN, Texas (CBS Austin) - Cody Wilson, the Austin man behind a 3D printed gun company, is accused of sexual assault involving a girl under the age of 17, according to police.
Wilson is the man behind the so-called "ghost guns" in Austin, and until today most of his issues with the law involved gun control. But now he is accused of sexually assaulting a 16-year-old girl.
"Mr. Wilson's name [has been] entered into the national law enforcement computer for sexual assault of a child," said Commander Troy Officer of the APD Organized Crime Unit.
Wilson is the man who founded Austin-based 3D printable gun blueprint company Defense Distributed. Wilson has had a lot to say to CBS Austin previously about the so-called "ghost guns", but Wednesday there was no word from him. Cmdr. Officer says Wilson is not even in the country. "Today Mr. Wilson is not in custody, and his last known location by the Austin Police Department is Taipei, Taiwan."
Wilson is accused of sexually assaulting a 16-year-old girl he met on SugarDaddyMeet.com. The warrant says Wilson messaged the girl using the Japanese name "Sanjuro." It goes on to say they met at Bennu Coffee on South Congress on August 15, and went to the Archer Hotel in The Domain where they had sex. The warrant says Wilson paid the girl $500 and dropped her off at a Whataburger in South Austin. Police say the girl made an outcry a week later. "We were notified by the counselor. Counselors, as well as school teachers and doctors are by law required to notify police," Cmdr. Officer said.
Wilson was on a trip to Taiwan but did not return on his scheduled flight, tipped off, perhaps, about the criminal charge waiting for him in Austin. "Before he left, he was informed by a friend of the victim that she had spoken to police, and police were investigating him for having sex with a minor," Cmdr. Officer said.
Austin criminal defense attorney Victor Arana is not involved in this case but has experience representing international clients. He says the process for getting people charged with a crime back to the United States all depends on international cooperation.
"The United States just doesn't have the right to go anywhere it wants to and snatch somebody up and take them. It's a violation of that country's sovereignty, so they have to have the country's permission and that's the whole extradition treaty problem," Arana explains. Because Taiwan doesn't have an extradition treaty with the United States, if Wilson is there-- there's not telling when he might return.
Austin Police ask if you know where Cody Wilson is, or have any information pertaining to the case, to call the APD tip line 512-472-TIPS.

Thoughts? I'm placing Wilson in the fugitives on TV section since although he hasn't been profiled on a national crime show, his case has made the national news because of the 3D gun printing controversy.
And my personal opinion on the 3D guns is I was and still am very concerned about them and the ease in which it seems they can be made along with the difficulty in tracing them as opposed to traditional guns, this is a separate case.
I'm assuming Wilson if he's ever caught already has a built-in argument and he will try to claim that he's being set up because of the 3D gun issue (not making excuses for him, this is just my prediction as to what his defense would be). However, if he's guilty of the crime he's accused of, he needs to be caught and punished, and it has nothing to do with his 3D guns, but for allegedly taking advantage of a teenage girl.
