I think besides the unfortunate racial aspect we've had to address, another reason I feel perhaps the media isn't taking this case as seriously as it should be is that Dimas is Jonathan and Victor's father, and despite being a triple murder suspect who allegedly killed their mother, they figure he wouldn't go so far as to kill his own children as well. The problem is you can't make that assumption as you don't what a guy who likely feels very desperate is capable of. The media should keep in mind what happened in the manhunt for AMW fugitive Richard Sanchez. Sanchez went on the run on rape charges and several years later, his vehicle with the bodies of him and his three sons that he abducted were found at the bottom of a New Mexico lake. There is no way that Dimas has good intentions to raise his children while on the run. The fear I have is that he perceives them to be a burden while he has to live the life of a fugitive sought on the extremely horrific charges.

Not to mention Coronado has ALREADY technically murdered one of his children when you count the unborn fetus.

*technically allegedly (once again I hate using the word allegedly but it's for legal and fairness reasons).

It has now been over 100 days since Dimas, Victor and Jonathan disappeared. I think that the odds of them being found alive are getting dimmer and dimmer with each passing day.
The AMBER Alerts for them are still in effect.
Let's all hope there is a Christmas miracle and that the boys are found alive and safe.

Moving our thread on Dimas Coronado and the search to recover Jonathan and Victor to the "Fugitives on TV" section since this is on the list of cases for season 1 of Investigation Discovery's "In Pursuit with John Walsh."
I have no idea if it will be a full segment or just a brief mention, I'm just happy they're airing this alleged dirtbag!

The AMBER Alert for Victor and Jonathan has been canceled. No explanation yet, but I presume three things: First, they have been found alive; Second, their bodies have been found; and last, given the fact that there have been no known sightings of Dimas or the kids since before Labor Day, they have been declared presumed dead.

The case is still on the regular official NCMEC site, just not the Amber Alert section. It's possible they simply removed the Amber Alert due to the passage of time even though the case is still not resolved but I'll check for updates. Also, they usually never remove missing children from their website even when "presumed dead" unless a physical body has recovered unless it's a cold case. Until further notice, I would presume Dimas still at large, and Victor and Jonathan still alive and in danger (based on the facts of the case, Amber or no Amber alert) until proven otherwise. api.missingkids.org/poster/NCMC/1337607/1/screen

Forgot to mention the In Pursuit airing definitely proves this is still unfortunately an open case despite the Amber Alert removal.

Given this guy is an alleged hitman for the Sinaloa cartel he might have harmed his children And took off to mexico but the children could be fine if he has an ounce of decency he should turn himself in

Well not only was Dimas finally caught but Jonathan and Victor were found alive! Great work to authorities in Mexico once again!

So far it looks like the manhunt had a happy ending. I was nervous for a second when I heard he was captured because I had no idea whether the kids would be recovered safely once they eventually caught Dimas.
