From cleveland19.com (CBS Cleveland):
NORTHEAST OHIO (WOIO) - A man is on the loose after a high profile double murder.
Police say he is a threat to each and every one of us. His name is Gianni Gray and Crime Stoppers is now offering a $2,500 reward for information leading to his arrest.
Richard McIntosh, who is with the Cuyahoga County Sheriff's Department, describes Gray in a chilling sentence: "He uses a gun, and doesn't care where the bullets fly. This is his lifestyle, shooting people, hurting people."
Now, there is money on the line for the tip that leads to his capture.
Nothing proves Gray's danger more than a video of him earlier this month in the passenger seat of a car, reaching out and firing shots into another car, killing two rival gang members.
The video clearly shows the brazenness and boldness of the attack.
But what it doesn't take into account is that the intersection was crowded at the time. Others could have been seriously hurt, says McIntosh.
"This is the kind of guy who has no regard for anyone's life, and right now, we need to get all the information we can to get him off the street before somebody else dies."
Thoughts? Cleveland's NBC affiliate (WKYC-3) has a fugitive of the week feature which is usually accurate and up-to-date so we can keep track by using their listing. As of July 30th, 2018, they still have Gray listed as wanted: www.wkyc.com/mobile/article/news/crime/fugitive/fugitive-of-the-week-most-wanted-list/95-19322127
Also this is apparently not Gray's first time on the run. He was apparently arrested in Orange County Florida in 2015 after being suspected of setting an apartment on fire. The alleged motive was revenge for his brother's murder. It seems based on one news report he was convicted of weapons charges but not for attempted murder and arson. (A search I did of Cuyahoga County's online court records suggest he did at least plead guilty to having weapons under disability after his 2015 capture). Reports say Gray has been in-and-out of prison since he was 18 years old.
Needless to say, someone with this long a criminal history now accused of a double murder really needs to be taken off the streets soon before innocent bystanders get hurt.
