Authorities in Northern California are trying to identify an unidentified serial rapist who has eluded them for over 20 years. AMW aired this case three times from 2008 to 2010. I'll just list each of the individual rapes separately by year to make it easier to read.
In 1991, he raped a woman in Rohnert Park after breaking into her residence.
In 1992, he raped another women in Vallejo.
In 1996, he raped a woman on Halloween in Martinez, then three weeks later, he called her at work to apologize. Later that year, he attacked another woman but didn't rape her.
In 1997, he raped two women in Davis and one in Chico.
In 2000, he raped another woman in Davis.
In 2006, he raped two roommates in Sacramento. Neighbors at the time described his vehicle as a 1997 white Toyota 4-Runner.
A few other things to mention. He likes to stalk his victims and know their routines. His victims are tied up with duct tape and blindfolded. He also tells them personal details about himself and talks to them as if they're friends. In one of the attacks, a victim fought back and gave him some type of injury on his face. He is described as a white male, in his mid-late 30's at time of the 2006 attack with brown hair and weighing around 200-250 lbs. Some have wondered if he moved out of the area from 2000-2006 which would explain the gap in reported crimes.
Thoughts? Something else to consider is that since he's been linked to so many crimes, it's likely that there are other victims who never came forward, or those who would have only gotten treatment but never reported their sexual assaults to authorities. He probably lives or has significant ties to Northern California. Another thing I'm wondering is if the statute of limitations on some of the earlier rapes have expired or are close to expiring. I don't know how that works in California.
