From floridatoday.com:
Cocoa police's motel homicide investigation garnered a nationwide audience Friday when "Live PD" featured a segment on the man wanted in the case.
Officers are searching for Joshua Reece Wilson Keravuori, 18, who is the suspect in the death of Terry Hilliard, 65, at the Dixie Motel on Forrest Avenue on Feb. 6. Keravuori fled in Hilliard's car to the Hialeah area, abandoned the car, then traveled to Silver Springs, Maryland, police said.
Keravuori was in Silver Spring as of a few days ago, said Cocoa police Sgt. Doug Levine, who appeared on the "Live PD" Friday night segment. Keravuori was a hitchhiker who Hilliard picked up between his Ocala home and Cocoa.
"Live PD" is a three-hour show on A&E Network that broadcasts police patrols around the country. Cameramen ride shotgun with the officers and deputies as they respond to 911 calls. The show airs at 9 p.m. Friday and Saturday.
Officers have not released the cause of Hilliard's death or a possible motivation. Hilliard had been visiting the Space Coast to watch the historic launch of the Falcon Heavy rocket, police said.
Keravuori was described as 5 feet, 8 inches tall, and weighing 150 pounds. He has black hair and brown eyes.
Anyone with information can call Central Florida CRIMELINE at 1-800-423-TIPS (8477). Callers will remain anonymous and can be eligible for cash rewards of up to $5,000 in this case.
Thoughts? Keravuori is being placed in the fugitives on tv section since as noted above, #livepd's wanted segment with Tom Morris profiled the hunt for him last night.
