From fugitivekillers.com (partially cutoff at end since some info is now outdated):
It is believed that on July 22, 2010, the victim, Ryan Trosclair met with Amaral some time between 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. at Amaral's residence in the 2100 block of Chartres Street in the Faubourg Marigny neighborhood. It is further believed Ryan Trosclair went to Amaral's home to purchase illicit drugs. However, at some point during the visit Amaral beat Trosclair to death. Amaral is then believed to have then moved the body approximately 7 miles to a wooded area near the Curly Playground in the 9000 block of Dwyer Road. Amaral also staged the killing by burning the body beyond recognition in order to impede identification of the corpse.
Francisco "Chico" Amaral typifies actions of an organized killer. He methodically takes care to stage or destroy evidence in his crimes. This staging accompanies calculated, deliberate, or preplanned homicides. Therefore, the burning of the corpse beyond recognition can be considered a Modus Operandi of this fugitive killer.
Additionally, Ryan Trosclair, suffered addictions to alcohol, cocaine and heroin, and since New Orleans Police Department Investigators believe the two men are possibly connected through illicit drug trafficking. It can be presumed Amaral also abuses alcohol and illicit drugs, such as cocaine and heroin. Investigators further believe "Chico" may have traveled to the San Francisco bay area to evade capture by law enforcement. killer is described as:
Birth Date: May 18, 1953
Eyes: Brown
Hair: Bald color Brown/Gray
Sex: Male
Race: White
Lastly, a joint reward of $7,500 is being offered by the family and the Greater New Orleans Crimestoppers for the arrest and indictment of Francisco "Chico" Amaral, for the murder of Ryan Trosclair in New Orleans, Louisiana.

Thoughts? The only thing I cutoff was the toll free number the website Fugitive Killers listed I no longer see listed on Google as a viable number and I will list alternative contact points instead. It seems that now defunct website thought Amaral could be in California, but a 2014 article with Ryan Trosclair's family members say Amaral moved to Brazil, They also believe other people were involved in his murder (whether Amaral can be extradited is just something we have to hope can become possible down the road): wgno.com/2014/07/23/tonights-wheel-of-justice-features-gert-town-shooting-suspect/
Also, here is the New Orleans Crime Stoppers reward flyer: www.crimestoppersgno.org/uploads/listings/RyanTrosclairsuspectflyerfinal7500_1379006626.pdf
I also found a Facebook page dedicated to getting justice for Ryan, it seems no updates since last year so it seems unfortunately Amaral is still at large as of this posting date (11/3/2017): www.facebook.com/Help-Find-Ryan-Trosclairs-Murderers-143688622326813/
Let's do what we can to get justice. You can take a look at the above article and say Ryan obviously wasn't a pure saint. He also didn't deserve to be murdered. He also had and still has a family that obviously still loves and cares about him.
