This should also be an interesting thing to watch since it was going to happen eventually- a fugitive shown on both In Pursuit and AMW getting captured. Will either show acknowledge the other? Even if one show is the reason will there be a "kudos to them too!" or no?
I'm obviously happy Nesbitt is caught and that's what's most important, but admittedly I am very curious to see how both shows handle this.

To quote a reply Steve Katz tweeted at me when I asked about Larry Jones being marked as indirect, "It's complicated. We're just going to call it an AMW assist."
But seriously, I'm so happy to see Nesbitt caught! I always thought he had a good shot a becoming a direct capture, but even if he isn't, this is amazing! I've wanted him caught for years and I'm glad it's happened!

Here's a twist we didn't see coming- Nesbitt is actually an IN PURSUIT direct capture! In Pursuit has just taken credit on their Facebook page.
The reason it's surprising is logic would say Nesbitt would be an AMW direct capture since he was most recently aired on AMW- not that In Pursuit are spring chickens, but once again it's not a competition, both shows are pursuing the neverending fight for justice, and I would have been happy with either show taking the credit!

I do think it is possible someone saw Nesbitt on AMW, looked him up saw his In Pursuit posting and contacted In Pursuit. That's not to make it a competition or not give one their fair due, but that both shows may have ironically unwittingly worked together to capture Nesbitt! It's like a superhero movie where two heroes that don't like each other are forced to team up to fight a villain a threat to both of them, except in this case hopefully both shows like each other. (I am in no way implying they're rivals, just thought that was the closest analogy minus the not liking each other part lol).

I called it guys I knew he wasn’t going to be on the run long after his airing on AMW ☺️.
The important thing is this monster is behind bars where he belongs and he can serve his sentence.

Elizabeth Vargas is now claiming they have "big news on another capture" on Twitter.
In Pursuit has already claimed Nesbitt as the tip came in specifically to their hotline.
This is going to be potentially awkward if both shows claim credit. (Unless Vargas is referring to someone other than Nesbitt).
As the admin for a fan page for both shows, I feel like a child in the middle of a divorce.
I don't know if they're allowed to, but I hope both shows can give each other props if their respective networks allow it.

I don't know; AMW took credit for Michael Alfonso, Terry Johnson, TJ Weber and a couple others at various points and then said, "Whoop! Just kidding!" and then apparently refusing to acknowledge them as directs - so really I wouldn't be surprised at anything.

The Alfonso one still puzzles me since all indications I've seen over the years are that AMW is indeed the program that brought him down. Weber on the other hand made no sense as a direct capture to me since his going back to the crime scene is what got him caught.

Since the capture of Maurice Nesbitt, Which of remained Fugitives and Missing Persons and Missing Children from Episode 3 of Season 1 are still at large and still missing? Of the 15 full-segment cases- and 17 fugitives overall/19 fugitives overall once you add Phillip Dent's caught on camera segment (captured) and John Westbrook's brief parental abduction segment (still at large), there are now fourteen left. There are five overall still miissing from various segments: McKenna Butcher is still missing the Jennifer Settle parental abduction full segment in episode 1. Orrin and Orson West are still missing from the brief missing child alert on episode 1. Fauna Frey still missing from missing adult alert on episode 3. Daphne Westbrook (abducted by John Westbrook) still missing from missing from missing child alert on episode 4.

Just wanted to also add that while I wish Nesbitt was caught earlier I do find it hilarious his rap skills were dissed TWICE on national television lol.
