"This man is dangerous," said Fulton D.A. Paul Howard. "He was dangerous to [ the victim] Rashawn Jackson. We don't know whether or not he presents a danger to the Jackson family, he said, urging the public to help locate him and turn him in. Howard said Nesbitt had cut off his ankle monitor and cannot be located. In 2014, 34-year-old Jackson was found shot in the head and deceased in an apartment complex off Campbellton Road in southwest Atlanta. Her mother apparently made the discovery, investigators said. Prosecutors told FOX 5 News Nesbitt repeatedly beat and abused Jackson over six years, and prior to her death, she hoped to end the relationship. Nesbitt, then 35, was arrested on murder charges and allowed to be released on bond by a magistrate judge, prosecutors said. He was arrested once again after a 2016 failed court appearance, but failed to appear in court Friday for the jury's verdict and sentencing. Nesbitt was given a sentence of life in prison, Howard said. Anyone with information on Nesbitt's whereabouts is asked to call the Fulton County District Attorney's Office at 404-613-3230, or their local law enforcement.www.fox5atlanta.com/news/convicted-killer-missing-and-wantedThoughts? I have to say- as ridiculous as it is that Nesbitt was given bond in the first place- how the f is he still allowed to be a free man during trial AFTER missing a court appearance in 2016. What's also very sad about this case is an earlier article interviewed Rashawn's family and they discussed how after three miserable years they were "finally going to get justice.": www.wsbtv.com/news/local/emotional-testimony-in-trial-of-man-accused-of-murdering-girlfriend-in-2014/615882886Now thanks to that moron Judge's mistake, that long wait for justice has to endure again. I can't find any articles since the above one about Nesbitt fleeing, so I'm assuming that he is unfortunately still at large as of this posting date (10/15/2017). If anyone has any other updates otherwise, please feel free to let us know. And if anyone knows where Nesbitt is, please do the right thing and call it in. Rashawn's family has suffered long enough. UPDATE: As of January 16th, 2019, anyone with information on this fugitive's whereabouts can also call or text "In Pursuit" on the Investigation Discovery channel at 833-378-7783 and/or submit a tip at the show's website: www.InPursuitTips.comUPDATE #2: As of April 12th, 2021, anyone with information on this fugitive's whereabouts can also call "America's Most Wanted" at 1-833-3-AMW-TIPS and/or submit a tip online at amwtips.com

Just wanted to add that Maurice Nesbitt is listed on the Fulton County Sheriff's Department's website as a still wanted fugitive as of May 10, 2018. His entry in Fulton County court records page also shows a red "W" next to his name, which most likely means there is also an active warrant. www.fultonsheriff.org/fulton-fugitive.html

Moving our thread on Nesbitt to the "Fugitives on TV" section since he is on the list of fugitives scheduled to be aired on Season1 of Investigation Discovery's "In Pursuit with John Walsh."

After watching the In Pursuit airing, the reason(s) Nesbitt got out were infuriating. There is or was a law in Georgia where if you don't indict a suspect within 90 days after charging them you can't keep them in jail after that, so that is why Nesbitt was let out with an ankle monitor. He went back to jail after missing a court date, but was let out again after saying he had cancer and couldn't get proper treatment in jail.
But here's the catch... Georgia court procedure didn't require Nesbitt to prove it. So it's possible he doesn't even have cancer and used it as an excuse to get out of jail.
Its unbelievable to me that apparently all you had to do if on trial in Georgia was say "hey judge I have cancer" and they'd let you out.
I hope they changed that at least as not to criticize In Pursuit, but I feel now that its known that's how he got out, anyone watching from Georgia that plans on committing a criminal act can perhaps have that in the back of their mind if they wind up in jail like Nesbitt.
I hope In Pursuit leads to Nesbitt's capture, but this chase was not necessary in the first place if Georgia laws were not so messed up.

Also I looked up "Mega Ruckus" and he had a Facebook profile with apparent family that lives in Florida (West Palm Beach, Riviera Beach areas). This isn't to accuse family members of hiding him, just because of that in my opinion he may have a familiarity with Florida and hide there.

It's been over three years since this "big time gangster" has been on the run he is more like a piece of crap who needs to be put in his place pardon my anger but I see can see him easily blending in a place like South Florida especially Miami lot of cover and lot of Drug Trade especially from the zoe pound Haitian crew and ms13 he could have fallen still in there but I could see somewhere like San Diego it has a sizable drug trade or somewhere in Los Angeles county or Orange County he is pretty much a ghost any could be anywhere unfortunately

Tbh, I'm quite surprised Nesbitt is still at large, which makes me wonder if he may in fact be in Mexico. Either that or in my opinion I wouldn't be surprised if his network of associates is hiding him in plain sight. He doesn't seem like the type of guy to stay quiet which is why I'm quite shocked he isn't caught yet.

The possible gang associates involved with drug or sex trafficking would explain why we are still looking for him.
