Photo Credits: St. Tammany Parish Sheriff's Office DOB: 07/04/1961 Height: 5'6 Build: Medium-Heavy Hair: Salt/Pepper Aliases: Filiberto Vejarano, "Veto", "Beto", "Berto", "Negro" -- On June 22, 2017, 20-year old Javier Ortiz Flores was found stabbed to death in Abita Springs, Louisiana. The stabbing was the apparently because of an argument between Javier and another man. Charged with Javier's murder was Filiberto Bejarano and a warrant was issued for his arrest. Filiberto is a Honduran national and is only known to travel via bicycle or on foot as he does not have access to a vehicle. Based on crime location, it is advised to contact St. Tammany Parish Crimestoppers at 504-822-1111 if you have any information on Filiberto Bejarano's whereabouts.

-- Thoughts? The St. Tammany Parish Warrant document is showing that Filiberto is still at large as of August 15, 2017. He needs to be located before he has the chance to flee to Honduras, if he hasn't tried to do so already. Extradition from Honduras seems to be getting better, but it's still not the easiest task to locate fugitives in Central America. web.archive.org/web/20170911133059/https://www.stpso.com/home-articles/new-details-released-about-homicide-suspect/www.stpso.com/images/uploads/WarrantByZone_8-15-2017.pdf

If Bejarano does manage to flee to Honduras it will mean he got help as he currently doesn't seem to have much means to flee if trying to do it by himself (only a bicycle), although little by little eventually he could, so that's why time is of the essence here. (If it unfortunately hasn't somehow expired already).

Bejarano was still wanted as of the latest St. Tammany Parish warrant update- March 15th, 2018 according to their website. www.stpso.com/public-notices/ (pdf link to most recent warrants should be one of the options)
