Subject was driving a 2006 Ford Truck Silver in color was traveling westbound on SR 82, approaching Sunshine Blvd. Due to a previous fatal crash investigation, Lee County Deputy Margena Nunez positioned her marked patrol car facing south in the westbound lane with emergency lights activated and traffic cones out. Mr. Lara Nonez failed to abide by the detour, as a result the front of his vehicle struck the left side of the deputy’s vehicle. Mr. Lara Nonez was subsequently arrested for DUI involving death, however has never faced the charges in court so there is an active felony warrant for his arrest. Mr. Lara Nonez is believed to have fled to Mexico. Victim name was Lee County Deputy Margena Nunez.
