MORGANTOWN, W.Va. (WDTV)-- "We love you, we miss you, please come home," said Grossman.
That's Robert Grossman's message to his 16-year-old daughter Marie.
It has been almost two months now since she went missing and has never returned home. Marie was last seen by her father before leaving for school on September 27. When she was reported absent, that's when Robert took action.
"I called 911 and the heart wrenching reality set in," said Grossman.
It's possible that she was last in the Pineview and Riddle Avenue area of Morgantown. The family also travels frequently to the Pittsburgh area, as well.
Marie identifies as transgender. Her given name is Cheikh Oumar Grossman.
Her father said she is a fun loving kid.
"She loves to laugh, likes to keep things light, was troubled and we had sough help for Marie. Not everything did she accept however. But we watched movies together, she enjoyed our times where we would have Chinese food," said Grossman.
She also spent several summers volunteering at the Shack Neighborhood House.
"Marie was a junior volunteer for three summers and that entails community service. We were really busy one summer with rail trail work, so a lot of group activities and hard work," Mandy Webster, Program Coordinator at the Shack Neighborhood House.
So far, State Police said there are no new leads in the case, but her father is not giving up hope.
"I'm doing everything I can to remain hopeful and to not go to the dark places," said Grossman.
The Shack Neighborhood House will also be hosting a vigil of hope for Marie on November 28 at 6:00 p.m.

Thoughts? It's now been several months since that media article and Marie is still unfortunately listed as missing on missingkids.org. Let's please not judge in this case and realize a father is missing their child.
