The case seems like Elizabeth was involved with him but showed restraint when she knew things wouldn't turn out well. Now if it is feared that they fled to Mexico or the rest of Latin America could be a good thing as there are some good tipsters there as well. In all honestly this is the longest going breaking news case since Eric Frein in 2014.

Even Ethan Couch took a few weeks to capture and he was a national news story. So overall crime stories maybe not, but this is certainly the longest in the past few years as far as kidnapping cases that made national news go.

In terms of Amber Alert Cases, it probably is the longest, but now that u mentioned Ethan Couch I stand corrected in terms of Breaking news fugitives.

Overall crime stories can vary based on technicality. Shawn Miller got some national coverage but not on this scale and it took a year to find his body. (I know he wasnt a household name but the case still made CNN and such). There have been some kidnapping cases that got national media attention in the past few years. But this is probably the most publicized since either James DiMaggio/Hannah Anderson and/or Adam Mayes and the Bain sisters.

P.S. I just wanted to add I'm referring to fugitive kidnapping cases. Obviously there have been a lot of high publicity cases of missing children where they were likely or definitely abducted but the kidnapper is not known.

there's been a lot of false hopes and leads and right now the only good one was that Oklahoma on the 15th which concerns me since Oklahoma is close enough to Texas which is close enough to the border. I hope there's something more to the Nebraska lead as it will be much easier to locate Cummins and Elizabeth if they're still in the states.
Did I mention how much this case frustrates me that AMW's no longer on the air to profile it? Not sure if I haven't said it 7 zillion times already.

You've said it 3 times now and I pretty much agree that by now Elizabeth Thomas would have been brought home, but sadly we don't. Also the Nebraska lead could be Tad's undoing if true because he could have had a good chance to leave the country and he's risking getting caught if he's still in the states. (Don't mean to put my self in this position) but if I were a fugitive, personally I'd try my best to leave the country ASAP. But again we'll keep monitoring the situation as it unfolds.

It's now been 4 weeks since Tad Cummins vanished with Elizabeth Thomas, also it's nearing 1 month since the 2 vanished.

A couple notes: -Tad Cummins is said to have left a note for his wife the day he disappeared with Elizabeth although the details haven't been revealed. It's believed the note may have been a diversion to buy him more time. -Cummins may be in need of blood pressure medicine, so a special alert should go out to all pharmacies across the U.S. www.abcactionnews.com/news/cummins-left-note-for-wife-on-day-of-disappearance

The TBI twitter page has reported that Tad Cummins has been captured and Elizabeth Thomas has been safely recovered in Northern California.
