From the FBI.Gov website:
Waqar Ghumman and Mohsin Zamir are wanted for their alleged involvement in an armed bank robbery which occurred on January 8, 2016, in Tonawanda, New York. It is alleged that the two suspects entered the bank, aimed pistols at the customers and employees, and verbally issued threats. Ghumman allegedly jumped the counter and demanded that the teller drawers be opened and emptied into a bag. He also ordered the bank manager, at gunpoint, to open the vault. After receiving money from the vault, Ghumman and Zamir exited the bank. On February 14, 2017, federal arrest warrants were issued for both Ghumman and Zamir in the United States District Court, Western District of New York, Buffalo, New York, after they were both charged with bank robbery, entering a bank with intent to commit a larceny, and bank larceny.
Thoughts? What's concerning here is much more violent and in your face this bank robbery was as opposed to the "slip a teller a note and claim you have a gun when you might be bluffing" type of bank robbery.
Some additional clues mentioned in the FBI profiles for Ghumann and Zamir:
-Ghumann has worked as a Class A truck driver and would frequently travel to the west coast.
-Ghumann and Zamir may be traveling together as they are long-time friends. They may have traveled to Pakistan. Ghumman has ties to Brooklyn, New York; New Jersey; Wyoming; Illinois; Kansas; and Pennsylvania.
-In the past, Zamir has used modeling agencies for employment and has also been employed as an IT Specialist. Zamir is known to be dedicated to physical fitness, has a membership at Planet Fitness, and works out wherever and whenever possible. He has ties to Boston, Massachusetts; Brooklyn, New York; New Jersey; Wyoming; and Pennsylvania.
So in this case, if you do see Zamir at a Planet Fitness, it's ok to abandon the no-judgment zone and call authorities.
Sorry, couldn't help that one, but in all seriousness, let's do what we can to capture these guys. Bank robberies with just threatening notes are traumatic enough for bank employees. So I can imagine trying to get over one like this that was a lot more obviously potentially deadly is not easy.
