What especially concerns me is that Marisol's murder appears to be more than just a crime of passion, but a result of a long period of control by Faustino. Before Marisol, her children and relatives went to live with Faustino, I've read that Marisol's apartment was set on fire. Relatives believe that Faustino was responsible. Also Faustino booked an appointment under an alias at the barber shop where Marisol was working.

He seems like a good recent fugitive candidate for the FBI Top Ten for sure. However one of his pictures, the middle one on his poster, it looks like he's giving an interview. By any chance did reporters ever interview him before marisol's body was discovered?

Here is a video about her murder and his disappearance where they show his initial interview when everything first initially happened. It is rather scary how calm composed he seems. Doesn't come across like an allegedly abusive guy, let alone an alleged murderer. www.wfaa.com/mb/news/crime/warrant-issued-for-ex-boyfriend-of-murdered-mother/380426342

Usually guys like him are the worst of the worst, when they just committed a crime and he seems calm and composed.

I think this is one of those situations, likely it's a poor choice of words from that news station. But obviously as I've stated previously, this individual is very deserving to be a Top Ten fugitive. I wouldn't be surprised if he is in fact added soon to the list itself, since it's a highly publicized case.

Also mugshots.com is saying that Lara Valdez has been added to the FBI Ten most wanted list. Ohh boyy, this is why I say FBI murders section and not FBI most wanted because people will get the wrong idea and confuse it with the Ten most wanted. Poor wording doesn't help, especially when multiple sources start to use it. mugshots.com/FBI-Most-Wanted/MUGSHOTS-COM-FUGITIVE-MANHUNT-BOLO.150401342.html

Interesting how last year I had this huge hype about Brenda Delgado (An FBI Dallas case) being the next top 10er and her case was very high profile.
I see several similarities between the 2 cases from the aspect that, both cases are high profile and have somewhat of a uniqueness to them, Delgado didn't pull the trigger but was actually charged with capital murder.
The reason this case is unique, is because Lara Valdez, is similar to those sicko boyfriend/husbands that murder their other/wife and leave their body somewhere and calmly and collectedly put on a show for the media believing the husband had no involvement, especially that interview.
These cases happen a lot more than we think but a case like this would be an interesting one for the Top Ten.
I think this guy fled to Mexico, and that's about it because that was probably huge news in Texas and he'd be caught by now. But again I feel there's a possibility he's still in Texas either hiding in plain sight or he ended himself, I know everyone else here may disagree, but something in my gut tells me that's what also could have happened to Valdez.

To be honest, I didn't even mention Valdez as a potential top tenner since I felt it was rather obvious he was a potential candidate and it didn't need to be said- recent fugitive wanted for murder, reward out for his capture etc... Although some news reports seem to think he's on the top 10 list already because they can't tell the difference between top 10 Most Wanted and overall website Most Wanted.
Anyway, I doubt Valdez killed himself- usually spouses who killed their significant other and commit suicide kill themselves right afterwards, not months later after the body was found. Some may say this was an alleged crime of passion, I call it a guy who was always allegedly violent being even more brutal on one fateful day.
With that being said, Mexico can always be a dangerous country if he fled there.

I agree it is a dangerous place especially for those who don't know the proper street smarts and aren't aware of their surroundings. Anyways have they actually made an effort to track him down or know exactly where he is, like they did with Brenda Delgado? It's been said that she's been in Mexico for sometime and just needed the authorities to act.

We never know as obviously the FBI wouldn't want to make it public even if they knew exactly where a fugitive was. It's entirely possible they may have a general idea of where he is and just need some extra publicity to narrow down the possibilities.

Plus in Mexico, Lara Valdez fits in well despite the fact that he was born in Dallas, Texas, he could hide in plain sight since he has a very average Hispanic look to him lol. It's more easier to be a fugitive in the that particular person's country of origin or ancestry as they're able to hide in plain sight and fit in if they speak the language where as in this case Valdez does speak Spanish.
