(Above photo credit: Ocala's Most Wanted archived website) Race/Sex: Hispanic/Male DOB: 1-09-1990 Hair/Eyes: Black/Brown Height/Weight: 5’6” / 180 lbs -- The case of Pedro Vasquez-Garcia starts when he attended the birthday party for Isidro Garcia Reyes's son. Pedro was drinking and misbehaving at the party so Isidro called police and had Pedro arrested. This led Pedro to constantly harass Isidro. On October 13, 2011, Isidro and his son went to an apartment where Pedro slashed Isidro's throat, and then as Isidro fled for his life, Pedro stabbed him again, killing him. Right after Isidro was murdered, Pedro reportedly fled to the border city of Laredo, Texas, most likely en route to Mexico. Based on where Pedro Vasquez-Garcia is wanted out of, we would advise you to contact local law enforcement at (352) 732-9111.

This is a really horrible case, especially since Isidro's son witnessed the brutal murder of his father. This all started because of Pedro's irresponsibility at a child's birthday party and he wasn't willing to act like an adult in response to the consequences. pas.fdle.state.fl.us/pas/person/viewWantedPerson-117145891.awww.ocala.com/news/20111027/stabbing-suspect-may-have-fled-to-mexico

This is a really sad and heartbreaking case. Only pontificating because Hispanic fugitives from Florida tend to either stay in Florida or flee to Mexico/Central America from what I've seen. Vasquez-Garcia is a pos animal for what he allegedly did and not because of his race, it is just oddly I see a bunch of cases involving Florida fugitives who are Hispanic that you figure left the country turn out to never leave the state more than any other state. Hopefully it's the case here so Vasquez-Garcia can still be caught.

As of October 21st, 2019, Vasquez-Garcia sadly still has a warrant listing when searching Florida's public access wanted persons database (same link as in previous posting).

As of today, March 12, 2023, Pedro still has a listed warrant in Florida Department Of Law Enforcement's statewide warrants database. I checked PACER and did not see a UFAP (Unlawful Flight To Avoid Prosecution) for Pedro.
