16-year old Chanel Petro-Nixon vanished on Father’s Day 2006, on the day she was supposed to apply for a job at a nearby Applebee’s restaurant. Several days later, sanitation workers found her strangled body in a trash bag in front of a vacant building at 212 Kingston Ave. in Crown Heights. There was no evidence of sexual abuse. Despite a massive community door-to-door effort to get justice, and New York Daily News journalist Errol Louis and Reverend Al Sharpton appearing on AMW to plea for information, the case remains unsolved to this day. Louis, never forgetting, has just written a new article for the daily news about this tragic and mysterious case. This Saturday, as done for years, a group of cops, politicians, neighbors and friends will hold a rally and vigil in Chanel's Brooklyn neighborhoodm, and push for the case to be solved, and anyone is invited to join Louis and company: Admin Note: If you have any information on this case, please contact NYPD Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPSAdmin Note #2: If you have any updated information on this case, please contact us here: amwfans.com/thread/1662/website-contact-formwww.nydailynews.com/opinion/unsolved-murder-forgotten-article-1.1383478

Interesting. It does seem like they know who did it but it they don't have enough to charge him at the moment. I hope that changes soon since this is very frustrating to learn.

If he reads this, thanks to Errol Louis for re-tweeting us. (Obviously what's most important is Primus will now hopefully face justice and not who retweets us, but just wanted to acknowledge it since it was kind of him.) And kudos to Mr. Louis for his dedication to this case and not letting it fall by the wayside.

Indeed, just because someone gets charged doesn't mean they'll be convicted. Still a LONG way to go before Chanel can get true justice.

I agree and in light of him escaping prison,I'd rather have back here in the U.S. sooner versus later.
