FORT LAUDERDALE (CBSMiami) — Authorities continued their search Monday for an accused murderer who escaped from the Broward County Courthouse setting off a massive manhunt.
Anyone who has seen Dayonte Resiles is urged to call authorities. There is a $20,000 reward for information leading to his capture. Police consider him to be armed and dangerous.
Resiles escaped Friday morning before a hearing where prosecutors intended to seek the death penalty at his trial.
Authorities say Resiles did not work alone in his escape. Four of his alleged accomplices were arrested over the weekend. Winston Russell, Jr., 22, and Laquay Stern, 18, were picked up by police at a home in Deerfield Beach on Saturday. They are being held with no bond – meaning they cannot bail out of jail. Both of them are facing charges of escape and accessory after the fact to 1st degree murder.
Two other suspects – 17-year old twin brothers Kreton and TreVon Barnes are also under arrest on a charge of accessory after the fact to 1st degree murder.
In court Monday, their mom was not speaking about the case.
Detectives found Resiles and his suspected accomplices had a well-coordinated escape plan. Once Resiles was able to free himself from his handcuffs and ankle shackles, he was able to shed his prison garb and change into a white t-shirt and black shorts before busting out of the courthouse through the north exit.
Stern told police she provided a bag with the change of clothes and also provided a car that would be waiting for Resiles once he got outside. She noted that Russell also had a bag that included a police uniform, vest and gun belt.

Stern said she then drove the three other suspects to the courthouse to implement the plan.
“Once there, the twin brothers were tasked with waiting in the courtroom to signal Resiles when the getaway vehicle was ready,” officers wrote in an arrest report. “The twin brothers used a cellphone to communicate with Stern and Russell and coughed into the phone once Resiles began his escape.”
Stern and Russell were then waiting at a location on the north side of the courthouse, just south of the New River Canal, and picked Resiles up, police said.
They drove away and later dropped Resiles off at an apartment complex.
Authorities have yet to find Resiles who is charged with the murder of Jill Halliburton Su in her Davie home in 2014.
Anyone with information about Resiles is urged to call Broward County Crime Stoppers at (954) 493- TIPS.

Thoughts? Breaking news story but it's an extremely important one as Dayonte is potentially facing capital punishment in Florida, so he knows that he has nothing to lose right now. According to other reports Dayonte was a serial burglar and Jill was restrained prior to being murdered. So if you see him, do not approach him and leave apprehending him to professional authorities, but contact the Broward County Crime Stoppers or your local police with any information.
