From readingeagle.com:
Exeter Township, PA
Guy Markus has relived the morning of Nov. 13, 2014, in his mind every day since.
The Exeter Township man had driven from his home to pick up his then-2-year-old son, Daniel, who had been staying for a few days with the man's estranged girlfriend, Maria Cabrera-Gutierrez, the boy's mother.
Markus walked up to the apartment in St. Lawrence and saw a note on the door. All it said was "tough luck."
"As soon as I saw the note, I knew she ran for it, and I called the police," he said.
Since that day over 16 months ago, Markus has been on a crusade to reunite with his son, who he believes may be somewhere in Texas.
The case received renewed attention last week when the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children featured a video of Daniel's kidnapping on its website.
Markus said problems started to arise soon after Daniel was born in 2012. He reached a point where he wanted a separation, asking her to move out of his home and going to the length of getting her an apartment in St. Lawrence.
When Cabrera-Gutierrez realized a judge was going to rule in favor of Markus in Daniel's custody case in 2014, the father said, she caught a Greyhound bus to a nephew's home in San Antonio.
Federal authorities charged Cabrera-Gutierrez on Nov. 24, 2014 with unlawful flight to avoid prosecution and issued a warrant for her arrest, according to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.
Markus said her last-known location was a Motel 6 in Austin, Texas, that her nephew paid for on Dec. 1, 2014.
"Taking away a parent from a kid is a form of child abuse if that parent is a good parent," Markus said. "And what she did is terrible."
Anyone with information is asked to call the center at 800-843-5678 or Central Berks Regional police at 610-655-4911.

Thoughts? A somewhat unimportant technical note first. My new policy is usually to put most cases involving missing children and persons in the missing section and not fugitive sections of our website even if there is a known suspected abductor (there are some exceptions such as if the abductor is also wanted for murder). This was made so I could add more of these types of cases to the website without crowding the fugitives section. However, I'm making this thread as a fugitive thread since according to articles, this case will be aired next year on "The Hunt With John Walsh" (Season 4 apparently): www.readingeagle.com/news/article/central-berks-regional-police-commission-learns-of-call-from-cnn&template=mobileart
(P.S. Yet another unimportant technical note, sorry about that, but I will likely keep this in exclusive fugitives for now and wait to move this to fugitives on tv until the new season (the one after this upcoming one) is about to start and there is confirmation in the list of fugitives on CNN's website's tip form that this case will be aired).
While the above article already mentioned San Antonio as a possibility, other missing children sites say Cabrera-Gutierrez and Daniel Markus may be in Jalisco, Mexico: www.forthelost.org/family/dmarkus.html
Other reports say the two could be in Bakersfield, California, which is part of Kern County: bakersfieldnow.com/news/local/ncmec-abducted-child-could-be-in-bakersfield-area
