Navy wife and mother of two Elizabeth “Liz” Sullivan vanished on October 13th, 2014 near her home in San Diego.
A text message was the last contact Elizabeth made before she disappeared. Since then, her phone has been turned off. Police also say her vehicle was found at her home.
Several days after the 31-year-old was reported missing, police confirmed someone reported seeing her at a local soccer field, but since then there have been no new leads.
Elizabeth’s family and friends have rallied around to try and find the young mother who they believe is in trouble. They have set up the Facebook page, Missing: Navy Wife and Mother Liz Ricks-Sullivan, and her father, Edward Ricks, traveled to San Diego from his home in Virginia to help in the search efforts.
“It can happen to you. When it does, it gets very personal, and it takes on a whole new light when it happens to you," Ricks told local NBC affiliate NBC 7. "You get a strength like you never had before because that's my daughter and I'm bringing her home.”
Elizabeth is described as 5’3”, 130lbs, with brown hair and brown eyes. If you have any information that could help in the case, please contact the San Diego Police Department Missing Persons Section at (619) 531-2277.

Thoughts? In other articles, Sullivan's husband Matthew admitted the two were having marital problems and he was letting Elizabeth "have her space", however, he insisted she's never been gone more than an overnight in the past. Matthew has given interviews to People Magazine and other press and says he's at "the end of his rope." Naturally, the general public is going to wonder whether the husband had anything to do with it in a case like this. However, since Elizabeth is missing and no one knows where she is, it's important to consider all options and possibilities. Sometimes it turns out the person behind a disappearance is the husband or wife, sometimes it turns out they had nothing to do with it. So I'm not defending or accusing Matthew here. Just stressing we won't know if anyone is behind anything until Elizabeth is found. Hopefully alive, but if not, hopefully justice will be served.
