(Above photo credit: Denver Post website) This is not an AMW missing child case, but I read from Facebook posters Dylan Redwine would have been profiled on AMW had they had a 26th season on Lifetime. I'm not sure if this is fact, but because he is a high-profile missing child case, I think it would have been inevitable. 14-year old Dylan was spending a court-ordered thanksgiving visit with his custodial father when he went missing on November 19th, 2012. I always say if I had a choice- AMW has a direct recovery of a child or direct capture of a fugitive, I'd choose recover a missing child in a second. But my expertise is in fugitive and cold cases, so instead of speculating here, I will admit I don't know many details of this case except that it's high profile, and would like to hear from other posters that may have followed this case more closely their thoughts and opinions on what happened to Dylan Redwine: www.thedenverchannel.com/news/local-news/leads-reported-sightings-in-dylan-redwine-disappearance-turn-up-no-new-evidence-investigators-saywww.huffingtonpost.com/2013/03/20/dylan-redwine-missing-la-plata-county-leads-sightings-durango_n_2918494.htmlEDIT: Case has been moved from Missing section to Unsolved Case discussion after Dylan's body was discovered and police stated it was a homicide: www.thedenverchannel.com/news/southwestern-colorado/dylan-redwine-homicide-investigation-deputies-confirm-they-are-looking-for-a-killerAccording to articles, anyone with any information in this case should contact the LA Plata County Sheriff's Office at 1-970-385-2900.

I followed this case from day one, it's definitely a complicated one.

It seems this one has gotten very ugly and both sides have pointed fingers at the other. Dr. Phil was pretty tough on Mark Redwine it seems.

This broke late last night that a search team may have recovered items linked to him, they still haven't released what those items were: www.huffingtonpost.com/2013/06/27/dylan-redwine-case_n_3510409.htmlMaybe clothing, his phone or backpack? They seem pretty sure the items belong to him since they sent them to the lab and they also are trying to get either parent down to identify them.

Interesting. Well he was visitng his father right? I assume a backpack with items for a trip would make sense.

I'm waiting for them to release the cause of death.

Sorry to read this news.
Not surprising, but still sad. Knowing is better than not knowing. But the one thing you do lose is the hope you had there would be a happier ending.

Moving this to unsolved on tv section since the syndicated crime show "Crime Watch Daily" profiled the case on their show today. Dylan's father Mark Redwine has officially been named a person of interest in the case. Dylan's mother believes Mark is involved and sued him for wrongful death. Mark Redwine counter-sued citing emotional distress and claims it's possible this wasn't a homicide and Dylan somehow died by accident while lost in the woods.
Police say Redwine's statements have been inconsistent.
P.S. I also wanted to say I posted this case during the first year of this site's existence and I'm now much better than just posting a short blurb going "so and so is missing" and going "okay, ideas everyone."
Tragic case but I hope if there is foul play involved someone is charged and convicted.
