From the FBI's website:
"On December 28, 2013, 16-year-old D'Andre Green was attending a birthday party at the Brookside Community Center in Newark, Delaware. As people were leaving the event and D'Andre was waiting outside for his father to pick him up from the party, a fight broke out in the front parking lot of the Center. D'Andre, who was not involved in the fight, attempted to run away when shots were fired. However, D'Andre was caught in the crossfire, shot several times, and later died from his injuries."
Thoughts? This is an extremely tragic case. According to a USA Today article, D'Andre was attending the party with his best friend, and his friend is the one who found him on the ground. In the article, D'Andre's parents express frustration that everyone always went to him for advice, but no one's stepping forward and helping his case.
The fact of the matter remains this is a PARTY with MULTIPLE witnesses. SOMEBODY had to have seen the shooter and/or knows who the shooter is, and apparently that person or persons may have known D'Andre as well.
D'Andre didn't do anything wrong, and got shot just for standing outside a community center. He doesn't deserve to die for that, and it doesn't sound like anyone who knew D'Andre thinks he deserved that as well. So anyone who has any information needs to come forward. The FBI is offering a $10,000 reward for the person that does the right thing and leads police to the killer.
