Well the composite sketch of the guy looks nothing like the suspect they have in custody maybe he was just a witness or something the guy they had in the composite sketch maybe he was just in the wrong place at the wrong time but glad they got the real killer after all Eyewitness sketches are notoriously unreliable and considered the #1 reason for wrongful convictions. As odd as this sounds, I’m almost wondering if the original suspect was jokingly telling people that he wanted to hire someone to kill Huss. In retrospect, she was seen in the Desert Hot Springs area with this man, and she wasn’t going to do that if she sensed any danger. The fact that the guy went around bragging about a metal plate in his head also tells me that he wasn’t serious, the more I think about it.

I did want everyone's take on this: this doesn't sound like a hit, does it? I strongly doubt it based on what has been revealed the past few days, but it is curious that someone was asking who he could hire to kill Huss.

I'm going to be honest, I didn't actually see a photo of the suspect until just now and didn't realize the man arrested was African-American and only 20 years old at the time be allegedly murdered Huss. I wouldn't have given the stock eyewitness answer out of admitted laziness had I known
He's a monster because of what he allegedly did, not because of his skin color, but it does make the case all the more confusing as there seems to be no known or released motive and the suspect turned out to not be a white biker.
Right now it seems like a completely random act of violence

Right now it seems like a completely random act of violence This is probably one of the most eloquent posts I have read: and you are 100% correct: the allegations are horrific and his skin color has nothing to do with it. It does seem very far-fetched that a homicide where there were bite marks on the victim would be indicative of a hit. That tells me it was a personal crime, and we do know Huss told her parents that someone was taking photos of her. Still, this case bothered me for some time just because it just seemed so solvable with the composite and the information about that man who wanted her dead. Even with the suspect in custody, something about that man wanting Huss dead really doesn’t sit well with me the more I think of it.
