The body of a mother who disappeared after a heated argument with her boyfriend’s brother over money was found on a hillside in Pomona, coroner’s investigators said Friday.
Sally Mityas, 33, a mother of three young children, died of a sharp force injury to her chest, said L.A. County Coroner Lt. David Smith.
Her body was decomposed when they found it Monday in a field in the 1700 block of Gillette Road, and coroner's officials had to use dental records to identify Mityas, police said.
Police said they are looking for her boyfriend’s brother, Tomas Sarinana, in connection with her death.
The San Bernardino district attorney has issued a $1-million warrant for his arrest, according to the Ontario Police Department.
After Mityas and Sarinana argued over money Sept. 4, she stormed out of her home in the 1600 block of Briar Avenue in Ontario, Sarinana told police after she was reported missing. Mityas was carrying some clothing and apparently left in a maroon car at 11 a.m.
She left her own car, a cellphone and her three children, ages 1, 5 and 7, behind. That same day, Mityas’ boyfriend notified police that she was missing. She never showed up for work Sept. 8 and had not been heard from since she disappeared.
Ontario police immediately launched an investigation, calling her disappearance unusual.

Thoughts? The reason I'm placing this case in the fugitives on tv section is the new syndicated crime series "Crime Watch Daily" briefly mentioned the case on their show today.
