Weird, I can swear he was COTW, sometimes they quickly change the COTW. In any case, they posted again on the Facebook site for him so they are putting in a renewed effort this week. Maybe I got the Facebook post and COTW mixed up but I can swear he was COTW for a brief moment today. Maybe a glitch or something...
No big deal in the grand scheme of things...
EDIT: For those who didn't read earlier, COTW is short for case of the week. Bishop was briefly the FBI's case of the week earlier this year.

I think is extremely difficult to capture this criminal. First, because too much time has passed. Second, he is the most intelligent of the list. This man worked doing passports so he can easily fake one, plus he speaks around 5 languajes. But theres a big possibility he has gone crazy or committed suicide due to his psychiatric problems.

Well today is the 40th anniversary of the murders of the Bishop family and also since the suspect Brad Bishop went on the run. 40 years is a long time, he's spent half his life a fugitive, as the years go on and on in this manhunt it gets harder and harder to find him and take him into custody. But luckily he's a top ten fugitive.
Thought I'd take this time to discuss what some people have been posting on the Official Brad Bishop FBI page on Facebook. I don't necessarily believe any of these are credible tips or sightings- however I just thought it would be interesting to take a look at the variety of tips on Bishop that the FBI gets from time to time.
One man thought a 77-year old man on an obituary site with the name Charles William Bishop could in fact be the fugitive. Charles Bishop died in Riverdale, Georgia in 2014. (Ironically a day before 'The Hunt' airing). He does have a similar face and same first and last name but in a different order of course. However, I think if it was Bishop, the FBI would have confirmed it by now. (The man states he did contact the FBI and we all know the FBI follows EVERY lead on Bishop's case). Also, I think Bishop, who is the most intelligent man on the list, would have a better alias than using his last name. Normally, I wouldn't even post something like this, since this is a person that existed and loved by his family, however, it is a public site and thought for discussion purposes you could see why the tipster thought it could be Bishop. I apologize if I offended his legacy in any way, just pointing out why someone would make the distinction. I'm sorry for the family's loss and may Charles Bishop rest in peace.
Another poster claims to have seen Bishop enter a church in a yellow sweater, and ran when she spotted him. Another one says they saw him with a female companion and drew a photo. (I believe both posters are from Maryland- it would be interesting if after all these years all of a sudden Bishop is hiding in plain sight). I think the same guy posted a photo of a man driving a car he thought was Bishop. (Although for reference, I don't think it's wise to post an entire license plate for public view, just a word for the wise if you think you know Bishop's vehicle, tell the FBI the license plate number but I wouldn't post it in public).
The photos can be seen at the visitors post on the Facebook page:

Wow that is very interesting which is similar to the comments we discussed on the Robert Fisher thread. Also I don't think Charles Bishop is Brad Bishop either because not only would the FBI be all over it but the media as well. I do agree with you that they should try to report it to the FBI if they have a tip not post it so the public can demonize that person and they'll be very upset if say they come across it and I also want to pay my respects to Charles Bishop since he was brought up and is deceased and I hope he's resting easy now. But back to William Bradford Bishop, him being added to the top ten list is one of the greatest things to happen in the last couple years, not only saying this because he is a fugitive wanted out of my home state but the way he killed his family would disturb anyone, heck even the investigators who checked the house initially in March 40 years ago were horrified so I get why he made the list. Another thing I want to point out is that maybe people who keep track of the top ten list missed having "an old man on the list". You had Donald Webb and Whitey Bulger on the list and they both ended up being removed and captured respectively and I guess that's what some people missed, that excitement in a sense and also it makes Bishop an easy target for tips too.
I was basically referring to taking a photo of a license plate. (Someone took a photo of the full license plate of a car they thought the Bishop look-a-like was driving) I'm pretty sure that goes into a gray area of legality. Not to mention if Bishop is out there and follows up on his case, he now knows someone has his number and can just get rid of the car.
I don't necessarily think it was a mistake of the Facebook guy to post that obituary- let's assume for argument's sake the man was William Bradford Bishop- he'd be dead already anyway. (It's when someone posts a photo or webpage of someone who may be alive where that should be private- you don't want to give anything away). I just wanted to stress I was only posting the link because it was already mentioned publicly and had a public obituary link.

Oh ok yeah I mean the license plate being posted on social media isn't really a great idea but submit a tip of the license plate... My apologizes Scumhunter as you've noticed my absence lately I've dealing with some things so I really don't have my head in the right place so that's why I misunderstood what you've said.
Thanks ☺️. The good thing about having Bishop is that now there's tips pouring in on him and that's an important thing at least but people need to know that yeah there's some things that shouldn't be posted like say a license plate where the public can see like you say and just submit a tip to the FBI and give them the plate number and they'll go from there.
Hi I'm new on this forum. Since the FBI controls it's Facebook page I think if there was any issue with the license plate they would have removed it immediately. They do have some interesting comments on their page. A few are not serious and a waste of space and should be cleaned up. I'm sure Bishop is still alive and the FBI knows something the public does not. Maybe that was him in Maryland with the woman which would be so clever hiding in plain sight in the last place anyone would think. It will be amazing when he is caught and the mystery ends. Especially to see his new family that he must have now. I just wish they would raise the reward to one do another international media blitz.
Hi spainrain, welcome to the forum! Yeah, no harm so far, but I'd still be careful with license plates and stuff like that. It would be amazing if after all these years Bishop was caught hiding in plain sight. Anything is possible imo.
They also list his social security number which is 556-48-3489. A social security search I did says it was issued in California which makes sense since Bishop was born in Pasadena. (He lived in Maryland at the time of the murders, but I feel it's often overlooked he's originally from California, remember that's the state Whitey Bulger wound up in).
I'm sure this has been done already but Bishop is probably smart enough to have a new social security number by now, but I feel if alive, he needs money somehow and that should still be searched from time to time. And if he came back to the U.S., he may be applying for social security help or some other type of financial aid under a new alias/number. I think social security offices and the like should be given Bishop's FBI flyer (old fashioned like the post office days). It is possible Bishop is walking into them unnoticed.
Also this is the full list of every known place Bishop has lived (Besides Switzerland and Sweden, where he was sited):
"United States: California; South Pasadena, Monterey and Truckee Maryland: Baltimore and Bethesda; Vermont, Middlebury Connecticut: New Haven; Washington DC; Europe: Italy: Verona, Florence and Milan Africa: Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, Gaborone and Botswana •Languages Spoken Fluently: English, Spanish, French, Serbo-Croation, Italian •Education: Bachelor of Science, History, Yale University; Master of Arts, International Studies Africa; University of California: Middlebury College, Middlebury, Vermont; University of Florence, Florence Italy. Connecticut and Vermont were a bit shocking to see among the locations, maybe the entire time he's been in those locations. They are never mentioned by the major networks or the FBI for that matter.... Bishop fits perfectly anywhere in all honesty, Europe, Canada, Alaska, Hawaii, Latin America have been brought up as possible locations officially by investigators and in theory amongst sleuthers. But when talking about the possibly of Bishop in the states, California and the southwest have been talked about a lot, Alabama seemed pretty damn close when they thought the "John Doe" there was him, but New England is filled with a lot of Forest, especially if you go up to Maine so it'd be a good place for a fugitive to hide and also consider that location as a potential location for other Top Tenners like say Robert Fisher, Jason Brown.
Bishop's mother was actually A French Canadian, so he may probably be in the area bordering Quebec or living in Quebec if still in North America.
