P.S. While no one sans maybe the people in Tucson who saw the initial erroneous story had actually thought Robert Fisher was captured, this is the second time we've seen false hope of resolution in a family killer on the top 10 list in one week.
This one is really disappointing since the photo and Bishop looked so eerily similar. I didn't want to get my hopes up, ad Graham Harrell's convincing sighting in Italy did sort of give me pause to only be cautiously optimistic, but I'm going to be honest, if you had asked me before hand what my prediction would be, I would have predicted it turned out the John Doe would turn out to be Bishop. Glad I didn't place any money on that!
I hope we see an actual capture of an FBI Top Tenner by the end of the week because we really need some good news after two bummers in a row!

I just wanted to say that Jeremy Collins, the guy who noticed the similarities still made a great tip even though it turned out to not be Bishop. When I looked at the online comments, there are TONS of people who said they thought for sure Bishop and the John Doe would turn out to be the same guy. Everyone is saying Bishop and Doe could have been twins.
So while I doubt he is, Collins has nothing to be embarrassed about. It was still a great observation.
This is why anyone with any information should continue to report it. The FBI is proving they will leave no stone unturned.

Question: Has anyone thought of the possible female accomplice who according to AMW's oldest archives may have been on parole from a North Carolina prison? I think what this case needs with the dead body turning out to not be Bishop- is a new angle. Perhaps a sketch can be released of what she may have looked like at the time? It's a long shot but the FBI seems to be leaving no stone unturned- so why not try?

Bishop has been on the run for approsching 40 years. Perhaps adding him to the Top 10 list much earlier could have increased the odds of catching him. But his professional ability of eluding detection and the fact that he is probably approaching death within the next 6 or 7 years leads me to believe he will live his life out as a free man (as sad as that is).

A new article is out about the lengths the FBI has went through to try to solve the Bishop case. They have checked lookalike reports in grocery stores, neighborhood bars, truck stops, and even a bridge club. A tipster reported that a loner living in Mexico, who looked like Bishop, went missing days after news broke of Bishop being added to the Ten Most Wanted. The loner turned up dead off the coast. The FBI in Mexico collected DNA from the body and sent it to the Lab. It turned out not to be Bishop.
They also tested the Alabama John Doe's remains TWICE.
In December 2014, investigators received information that a man believed to look like Bishop was living in another part of Mexico. FBI agents and Mexican authorities questioned the man and his wife, but they were not cooperative. The next day investigators discovered he was 81-year-old fugitive Robert Anton Woodring, wanted in South Florida for failing to surrender to serve a sentence for mail fraud in the 1970’s.
Other tips have come in from the Philippines, Thailand, Italy, and Africa.
So while no Bishop yet, they are getting good leads, and even caught another cold case fugitive as a result!

To me this case hits home because the house in which Bishop carried out the murders is about 30 minutes away from where I live, this guy definitely needs to be found either dead or alive. I strongly believe he's in Europe, over there, going from country to country is like traveling through the states here in the US and he could be anywhere on that continent and he's also bright and intelligent, having been in the state department which issue passports, and Bishop may have issues himself God knows how many false identities.
Highest Priority Case: Murder Victim, Alexandra (Alex) Anaya Missing Person: Ashley Summers Most Wanted #5: Frantz Dieudonne Most Wanted #4: Barrett Preston Busschau Most Wanted #3: FBI Top Ten Fugitive, Bhadreshkumar Patel Most Wanted #2: FBI Top Ten Fugitive, Rafael Caro-Quintero Public Enemy #1: FBI Most Wanted Terrorist: Saif Al-Adel

OK, I'll post the link when Crime Watch Daily uploads it but a spoiler warning for some updates below..
-A Montgomery County Detective interviewed says he's gotten leads all over- Cambodia, Thailand, Mexico, Canada. He is particularly interested in leads from Canada since Bishop's mother was Canadian and there could be familial ties there.
-They show the actual shovel and gas canister connected to the Bishop case.
-Graham Harrell, who was also interviewed on every other tv show about his possible encounter with Bishop in Sorrento, Italy, said that Bishop had a full beard and looked like he had gained weight and also had weird hair marks near his cheeks that weren't connected to his sideburns.
-Harrell says Bishop had a dark side and temper and mentioned he said he loses it sometimes to him. Apparently, according to Harrell, there was tension at home because neither Bishop's wife nor mother wanted to go overseas with him and didn't want to uproot their life in Maryland.
Also, they mention the Scottsboro John Doe but don't mention the tip came from The Hunt. I don't know if there's copyright issues or whatnot but really my only complaint about the segment is they didn't credit them. Otherwise, it was pretty good.
