Hopefully he is found in the US - recently added Top Tenners such as Castillo and Mederos both have the potential to be outside of the country (Castillo almost certainly is still in Mexico/Latin America). I’m convinced that it will be a while until the next apprehension. It seems that Munguia May be hiding with family, so it’s possible this case isn’t that cold and decided to add him to the FBI list to flush him out. I’m not sure but I agree it will be awhile until the next apprehension.

CBS San Diego did a story on Munguia because of the possibility of him hiding out in Southern California. Should also be mentioned tattoo across his chest specifically reads "My Baby Jessica", the name of his oldest daughter, since he apparently loves his children so much he locked them in a room while he allegedly brutally murdered their mother. www.cbs8.com/story/36846205/fbi-most-wanted-new-fugitive-added-to-top-ten-most-wanted

I’m convinced that it will be a while until the next apprehension. Most of the fugitives added in the past few years that were thought to be in Mexico were caught within a year or too. I have confidence at least one of the three if not more will be taken down by at least next June if not sooner based on that.

Could this be a case of him going back and forth between Southern California and Tijuana?

Also on the first post on this case, an AMW article mentioned he was probably getting help by family members in Mexico, and I’m curious if this was the case then in 2008, or is it still possible today in 2017?

A fugitive getting help from family members is always a possibility no matter how much time has passed. If that’s the case then this isn’t really a cold case but rather a case that can be solved just by having some intelligence gathering and an actual address so Mexican authorities can act.

Just a reminder that Munguia has a feature that is very distinguishing and that is; he is missing part of his right index finger, so everyone keep your eyes peeled for someone missing part of their right index.

I don’t know if this has been mentioned, but Jesus Munguia’s criminal history includes car thefts, burglaries and assault with a deadly weapon on a police officer, when he was at the age of 18.

I listened to it and it’s unlike the other podcasts for other Top Ten fugitives, this one is a plea to Roberto Munguia to turn himself in. Those 4 children have had it really tough, losing their mother and their father on the run for 9 1/2 years and all while they were still in their childhood. The perspective is so much different from reading a Wanted poster to hearing the victims own words and feelings.

I just noticed that both Yaser Said and Jesus Munguia went on the run the same year. Said as we know was Added in 2014 and on that day they issued an age progressed photo despite only having been on the run 6-7 years then.
With Jesus Munguia it’s completely different because was Added in 2017 after 9 years on the run and they haven’t issued an age progressed image. Now the same can be said for Santiago Mederos but i don’t think at 18-20s an individual would age that much, so it could be that Yaser being in his 50s-60s May age a lot compared to someone in their teens-40s.
Also I think the reason why they issued age progressed photos of Said and not of Munguia and Mederos is because they know where the latter 2 are in a sense, and need tips or law enforcement’s help to pinpoint their location, and whereas Said has been a complete ghost after a decade on the run. To reinforce this theory they did age progressed photos of Jason Brown in 2010, after 6 years on the run.

I'm not sure what the reason is for the timing of age-progressed photos and/or decision to make age-progression photos. I would disagree that Said has been a complete ghost as there's been strong evidence to suggest he's in Egypt and they just can't extradite him.

Just realized this is the thread on Munguia and not the general FBI top ten thread lol, but anyway, I'm sure they'll release an age-progression in due time if they feel they need it and if Munguia unfortunately stays on the run for a decent amount of time.
