(Above photo credit: Northern California Most Wanted) Fugitive Profile as of August 17th, 2015: (based on Northern California Most Wanted website) Race: White Gender: Male Height: 5'10" Weight: 170 Eyes: Green Age: 66 (DOB: 5/12/1949) TIPS: If you have any information on Daniel Irving Clemons, you can submit an anonymous tip to the Northern California Most Wanted website at the following link: northerncaliforniamostwanted.org/default.aspx?menuitemid=718&suspect=DANIEL%20IRVING%20CLEMONSDaniel Irving Clemons is wanted out of Trinity County, California for a 1997 murder and has never been caught. According to a long-time America's Most Wanted viewer that sent us a list of fugitives who have been on the show, Clemons was aired on the show, although I don't know when. Unfortunately, details of the murder are vague but there are some good clues on the various websites trying to find Clemons. The Trinity County website which will be in one of the links below has an age-enhanced photo which looks decent, I couldn't post it here since it had to be downloaded and couldn't be copied and pasted. In addition, we know based on his wanted posters that Clemons used to be around gambling institutions and dancers. He also did some private security work, was a heavy drinker, and may seek similar areas and work. Thoughts? I wish this more info on the crime itself as it may help, but I do believe this is a catchable fugitive. He has some distinct characteristics that help him stand out. And we do know he's wanted for murder, so if he's in your community, at the still relatively young age of 66, Mr. Clemons is still a threat. northerncaliforniamostwanted.org/default.aspx?act=incidentmapgallerytop10detail.aspx&category=LawEnforcementFugitives&IMID=2245&menugroup=www.trinitycounty.org/modules/showdocument.aspx?documentid=2245Admin Note: If you have any news-related updated information on this case, please contact us here: amwfans.com/thread/1662/website-contact-form

Fugitive.com did another story on Daniel Irving Clemons. Also I imagine that he was aired as an APB fugitive in either 1997 or 1998 since I know that they were doing the APB back then. www.fugitive.com/2016/07/17/daniel-irving-clemons-wanted-for-murder-in-trinity-county-california/EDIT: The photo we have Daniel was taken in 2000, after he went on the run according to the Trinity County Most Wanted page. I don't know if this is true, but in the comments page of the fugitive.com article, someone claims to have called in a tip on him which led to his arrest in San Antonio, Texas, but the police were new to the Crimestoppers program and released him. Can't confirm that happened of course, but it would explain the photo we have of him from 2000.

I checked the local stories page on the 1998-2004 amw.com website and came across Daniel Clemons's profile. Here's what his case was all about.
---
KETTENPOM, CA – Daniel Irving Clemons is wanted by the Trinity County Sheriff’s Department and the District Attorney’s office for murder. On June 6, 1997, the body of 68-year-old rancher David MacLeod was found inside his residence "The MacLeod Ranch". The ranch is located near the rural town of Kettenpom, CA, in the Southern end of Trinity County (located in Northern California near Humboldt and Mendocino Counties).
Clemons was a former employee of MacLeod at the ranch and on or about the evening of June 4, 1997, visited him accompanied by a female companion. An alcohol party appears to have ensued and physical evidence collected at the crime scene clearly identifies Clemons as having been responsible for the murder.
Clemons is a heavy drinker, whose personality is like "Night and Day" when he drinks. He favors himself a "Ladies Man" and is known to solicit the services of local prostitutes. He likes to hang out in rough bars and tends to reside for extended periods in cheap motels in the "gutter" sections of cities.
Investigators believe he may be in Memphis, Tennessee, or one of the larger cities between Memphis and Colorado Springs. He may also be using a new last name of "Shade". Clemons is an extremely dangerous man. A felony warrant has also been issued in Colorado Springs as a result of an assault charge for striking a man in the face with a baseball bat. Clemons had lived in Colorado Springs for a two year period from 1998 through October of 2000. He worked for a local stucco company under the alias of "David Rogers"

I find it hilarious that according to the article, Daniel told a confidential information that he was wanted, and as a result that tip led to his arrest.

I find it hilarious that according to the article, Daniel told a confidential information that he was wanted, and as a result that tip led to his arrest. In a way, that's not surprising. The longer you are on the run, the more confident you become that you'll never get caught and the more arrogant you'll become. Thus, you'll end up doing something really stupid like telling people you're wanted for murder and next thing you know, you're life on the run is over.

Only three years and no lieftime jail sentence!!!! Death penalty would have been much better in his case.
